    Oh, god.

You don't need a flickr page to post photos here. Your photos simply need to be located somewhere on the web (aside from Blogger and a couple of others that don't allow image crosslinking).

Same with mp3s -- so long as they're on the web somewhere, and you have the address, they can be posted here.

Aww... be nice. I have water on the brain.

    Thanks for the help, sah.

Is there a 'Mark All Threads As Read' button, that I'm utterly failing to find?

Nope. Stuff falls off the front page quickly enough there's no real need for one. You can always catch back up on conversations you've been talking in from the With Me tab at the top of the page.

Nice work, Ariana, the forum is gorgeous! Vanilla's so nice and clean looking. What extension are you using for the comment form?

Haha, there's about five of 'em -- not all of them stock or out of the box. Which bit do you mean in particular?
  4.  (4.107)
Wow, really? 5? I guess I mean the overall interface itself then. It's nice and simple and not as cluttered as what I've seen available for download over at lussumo.

Oh, that'd mostly just be css. The comment area has some plugins for functionality, but the look is all in the stylesheet. We've got very little on the engine that actually effects the layout.

    Nice CSS skillz :)
Would you recommend any WYSIWYG comment editor in particular?

Ta. I don't much like the wysiwyg editors-- we're using a tweaked version of the quicktags plugin, based off Alex King's Javascript of same. The tinymce editor and the like tend to go a bit screwy on Safari, and don't play nice with some other plugins. I'll pick simple and elegant over FUNCTIONAL* (*if you have exactly one browser running on a very specific OS) every time.

Ah, thanks for the advice... I've already broken my forum a couple of times so maybe I'll steer clear of the WYSIWYG editors for now.

That's definitely how I'd describe the overall look of Whitechapel. After my first visit here I knew I had to go install Vanilla.

Any chance of there ever being a LiveJournal photo stream? I primarily post my pics there from my phone.

Warren's comments on 'cleaning house' have got me wondering - is there a way to remove old/dead threads from the 'with me' tab? It's not a major inconvenience by any means, but it would be nice to be able to do a bit of de-cluttering.

Just click through 'em, that should do it...

I do not understand this question.

I'm guessing it means bringing in photos from the Livejournal 'Scrapbook' in the same way Flickr photos are shown on profiles.

I've got a feeling it's not really possible.

I don't think there's an API for that.

I'm noticing a possible glitch on the Blogs page. when I click on my latest post, the post and the comments show up OK, but on the main blogs page (that is, under the Blogs tab), I see one of the comments instead of my post. does anyone else see the same thing or is it just me?

    @roque

I noticed that last night as well. I thought it might have been a feature, letting the newest comment become the main entry, but it doesn't seem to change.
