I must admit, the lack of funds lead to a very mundane costume, but It did attract attention, so I guess it was worth the wiggling and adjusting and tugging I had to do all night.

    Behold.

Happy halloween! From the Chunker. hee hee.

And we had to get a family one, so here is someone or another from Slipknot and the maid that stole the loot.

My girl and I decided that since we had no funds and no real plans we would just throw some bits together and see what happened. It was as follows:
    Me
    Halloween of mine

    ...and with my girl
    Allison and I

...and after a bottle of 72% French absinthe? Pirate of the Apes

This thread is so much fun!

    Tank Girl

I went as a variation of Tank Girl. This is the only image with anything remotely like lighting. The squinty eyes are because I have a foot about six inches from my face (just out of the frame). Went out dancing to End: the DJ at Heaven nightclub. While End is phenomenal, having fetish events in mainstream spaces means none of the usual protocol. I was repeatedly groped, stalked by Superman, and had to call on my Nerf Ninja arm candy to protect me. Interesting night.

@miketymczyszyn Kickass chestpiece, great idea with one cool piece making the whole costume. With the bonus that said piece will continue to be awesome.

damn... there are some mighty fine costumes here on Whitechapel!!

this is the ROBOT! costume I made for my Husband.
    ROBOTS!
So he would be able to drink, I added an energy drink canister with clear tubing - Worked WONDERS! except, I had it holstered to his head.. and he had to chug the first drink before gravity took over.. (hahaha in more ways than one) so thats why it's taped to the bottom.

Even Robots need a smoke break.
    smoke break
The fact that the panel was detachable - was pure comedy.

I went as Kermit the Frog.
    Kermit!
That is Mr. Daniel Plainview in the photo with me - also in the shot is the better side of Mr. Harvey Dent.

oh, and feast yer eyes on....
    Pumpkin Cthulhu
yesh... EVEN THE OLD ONES like to dress up for Halloween!!! The costume was all handmade by the wearer.. fucking BRILLIANT!

I'm in the process of getting them all pix I took to Flickr.. but here is the set with a ton of really great costumes.

i don't have a picture, but I dressed in black crushed velvet wizards robes with a big black matching cloak. I had a staff and a witches cauldron full of candy.
    black lipstick and makeup.

For the party I went to I didnt' really dress up but someone thought I had.
I was wearing jeans, and a black long sleeve tight sweater, with a long greyish blue jacket/coat. I had a full leather wine skin over one shoulder and a sachelbag full of candy (i like candy). Someone said he liked my costume...that it looked Anarchist...I asked for clarifycation but he ran off to scream drunkenly at some new people who showed up.
I also got to see a lingerie bunny, a giant hand made pot bud dress, and a man dressed as Zelda from LoZ.

not a great halloween for me, my brother-in-law had to have surgery to correct a severe case of sleep apnea so we went over to visit him in the hospital. I did get to dress up as Snoopy on 10-30 for my offices annual halloween thing where the employees can bring over their kids for a safe and fun halloween.

given the anti-dog sentiments on the board, I'll refrain from posting pictures. I'd be afraid that a large bearded man in a hat, all tweaked uo on red-bull, vodka and nicotine would come after me and start beating me down with his cane.

I was rather busy (working at a Rocky Horror Picture Show will do that during Halloween) so I crimped my hair, wore some clothes I already wear (just not usually in this combination) and was "80's Metal" aka lazy

The s.o. and I went as a Dia de los Muertos couple.

solipsiae and light_pattern as Dia de los Muertos couple

We were very lucky to have our extremely talented friend paint our faces and secured all costume details just in time. Unfortunately, my very poor vision (-8.25 and -9) meant I'd've needed rx white contacts to match his, but I was happy letting him hold most of the creepy chips.

@solipiae: That is a particularly brilliant costume.

Myself and a friend as a very (very) broad interpretation of Gotham by Gaslight Joker and Two-Face at White Mischief. Enjoyably, we had our photos taken by people with expensive cameras.

I punked out and just kilted out for Halloween, but my industrious wife Jane Irwin went all out and made a kickass steampunk glider pack costume which ruled!

The wings retracted and folded up against her back, and fully extended, she had a wingspan of over 7 feet!
Not too shabby, eh? That's why I married her.

Even less attractive than the real Ashley Todd

Not especially original, but it was good for a couple of spit takes at that the party.

I am not a pretty girl.
