    A few years back I discovered an odd series of linked web pages which told a story. It's one of the only places I've actually seen the technology of the Internet used as a medium in that fashion.

    My brother is friends with the dude who put this together. Apparently, it was some viral stuff intended to be a film or something, but it never got off the ground. What's there is really awesome, though.

    Ah! Him, Eric (Dionaea's author) and myself all met through the same forum.

    I would have caught it earlier, but I was reading your name as "tedcro land" for some reason. I haven't seen Gabe around here since he first joined up, which furhter hurt my brains.

    The thing I love about it is how the Internet is used as a storytelling medium instead of simply a method of distribution. I wonder if anyone else has done anything like this.

    He's working QA at LucasArts right now, and the last time he posted was just before he went into MAJOR crunch time for Force Unleashed, and I don't think he's had a mind to come back since. Does he know you're on here? I'll let him know, if not.

    Yeah, I remember him doing crunch for Massa Lucas--I shudder.

    This was so well written. It totally had me convinced until the "big metal door at the end of the hall".

    This was really big in the House of Leaves forum for awhile.

    The format is indeed pretty awesome, and I like the switching between e-mails and texts. I think there must be a lot of websites like this, but mostly done as student projects and not propagated enough or hosted long enough to be noticed much. Have a friend who wrote a fantastic book that linked up with a website as her graduate school entrance thingy, but it was just before House came out, and there were too many connections for her to feel that it would get proper attention, so she tanked it after it was graded. Used to beg her to put it back up, but think she's deleted the files.

    Thanks for this, probably one of the better things I've read on the Internet in a while. It greatly helped the spookiness factor that while I'm reading the text messages, my cell phone rings.
