I've been looking forward to this for a while now. So: when's it coming out? Any chance of some sneak peeks?

Three issues in the can, and then we had to move on to other things for a while. I think we're looking at the first half of 2009, currently. Funnily enough, you posted this on the day I'm working on the logo....

Great! I presume you've changed all the characters names to avoid copyright infringement, but we'll know who they all are? And what do the ships look like, Flash Gordon style tin or Dan Dare style "WWII bombers in space"? And art deco (or, I think it's called "moderne") buildings, slowly crumbling away?

Oh, "Flash Gordon meets Deadwood" was just the springboard. There are more than a few analogues in there for textual spark, sure, but it's not the direct tracing you seem to think it is.

    A bit of script.

That's great news - I've been looking forward to this since it was mentioned back on The Engine. And the page looks terrific!

    Looking forward to this.

    I remember Buster Crabbe pitching man-girdles on late-night TV adverts . . .

Hehe. Read the script and definitely interested now. But, you named the vodka "thank you?"

But, you named the vodka "thank you?"

    Indeed.
  6.  (4025.11)
Is it going to be in color, or graytoned? I had trouble parsing the art in Aethetic Mechanics because it was so detailed, but there wasn't any shading and the lines generally seemed to be similar thicknesses.
  7.  (4025.12)
Ooh, looking forward to this one. I really liked the Aetheric Mechanics art, and can't wait to see it applied to whatever this concept has evolved into. So this is how many series running simultaneously now?

    Oh, IGNITION CITY's written.

Who'll be inking it, out of curiosity?
  12.  (4025.19)
Gianluca's been producing all kinds of design work for Massafera to key off for one of the variant covers. This one had both William and I laughing with mad joy. Just fucking look at it:

I want the big one in the middle. Thank you.
