Tonight I'm manning the Halloween homestead by myself, as my family is either working late (wife and son) or having festivities at their own abode (daughter). Weather permitting, I plan to take my laptop out on the porch and hand out candy while watching some appropriate movie. This will be tricky, however, because I'm not a horror fan (too squeamish). For me, something appropriate will probably be more along the lines of intense action or supernatural fun (perhaps "Constantine," despite the criminal miscasting of Keanu). Or, I might just break out the "Ghostbusters," which I haven't seen in awhile.

It's a brilliant place to get inside, loads of rusting pipes and steam and big revolving screws that can (and did) tear a man's arm off. Did a 'Sweeny' style car chase through there once following one of their staff cars - great fun.

We had our massively nutty Halloween party last week, where a guy in drag had the best legs in the room, won sexiest female (and he'd won sexiest male the year before!) and broke lots of people's brains. Or lovely honey stuff (not mead) the guy who was dressed as static cling (with other people's underwear stuck on him) was passing around. Today I'm trying to be responsible but failing mightily. My camera is broken so no pictures. I can't decide if I should dress up for the whole day or just the evening. I'm trying to get animated to go to the Fashion Institute of Technology's goth exhibit. There's a costume parade I'd love to see but I'm feeling wussy about the cold. And there's a (pricey) ball I could attend later tonight.

Practically living at work here this week, was called in for a couple extra shifts on my weekend, did a couple extra hours at the end of my shifts beyond that, and a couple more tonight so the overnight guy can get his Halloween partying on before coming in, and I'm back in again tomorrow to end my week, which, with a 4x10 shift schedule, is quite a bit of extra time.

Didn't even get a chance to pick up last week's comics yet, let alone this week's, will be coming out of Big Brain with quite the stack on Sunday.
