Hot piss. That's quite a step up from the already impressive AETHERIC artwork... Ah, well, who wants money, anyway? (Besides Warren, who appears to be siphoning all of mine...)

I appreciate that you've taken a page out of the old paleofuture Adventure SF pulps, and then chose an artist who looks NOTHING LIKE what people would expect, and can actually sell people on Buck Rogers rocketships.

It's the Bryan Hitch principle from Authority. If you have Bryan Hitch drawing Flash Gordon rockets dogfighting with F-14s over L.A., we will believe Flash Gordon rockets are dogfighting with F-14s over L.A.. None of this campy retro art styles bullshit.

Nice freakin' cover, sir! The bit of script you posted a while back had me sold, but that art has me chomping at the bit! Fantastic!

Warren, should I just send you a check directly and skip the middle man?

I think William Christensen might have something to say about that! :p

Beautiful, I can't wait to see more. Also, is there a man vomiting in the background?

that's just gorgeous. If it were slightly darkened and colored like Cary Nord's work on Conan it would look awesome. But yeah, if it gets inked that'd be great also

you're right Ted and William needs to be able to pay those bar tabs, and I like the people at my LCS, so add them into the mix....

    ok, business as usual then

He's very much the all-rounder as artists go, isn't he?

Like, the detail on the background and then the facial expressions on top of that. It's like Darick Robertson. The faces in Aetheric Mechanics seem very different to me. Not bad incomparison, I just didn't know he could do that.

@LBA - yes, as you saw, the bar tabs at a con are huge! Signing comics appears to be thirsty work for my crew. Loads more lovely Ignition City stuff to come.

Hay-Zeuz flippin' merde! That's frelling majestic!

Even if I could draw like Mr. Templesmith, I'd be in awe.

    I'm going back to bed.

They look like drunks and madmen and people who should not be left alone with small children or animals. I'm sold.

Holy fuckcrap. They remind me of my dad's brothers. And that's scary.

I've had such clearly distinct images (and anticipation) of this in my head ever since you teased us with the first few pages of script back in the days of yore/Engine.

From that cover, looks like he nailed it, AND it was worth the wait.

Wow! Left to right: Yuri (vomiting), unknown, Lightning Bowman, unknown (a Tuskegee Rocketeer?), correct? When you announced this, I had ideas for building wargames scenery inspired by this for pulp-SF games; this looks as though it'll be terrific!

Been looking forward to this comic for a while, it looks great. And I found a copy of Switchblade Honey for $5 at a used bookstore right after I picked up Aetheric Mechanics at Comic Relief in Berkeley the other day. That made me happy.

This looks very promising, Warren! I can hardly wait! (drools and bug-eyed, like Riggs in Leathal Weapon 3)

This pleases me greatly. What's the format on this, 22 page comic mini-series? Does this look to be advance solicited by diamond within the next few months? Because I will haunt every person I know until they order a copy.
