To All Aspiring Artists, Inkers, Pencillers, Everyone!,

My name is Jesse and I'm trying to get a comic series started called "Blue Collar". It's basically about a group of lower class, "blue collar" individuals from small town America who sign on to be the test subjects for a new medical drug called Olympia. It was supposed to cure the Influenza virus, but instead, it gave these individuals super human abilities, all of which are based upon element of their past emperiences and personalities. Now these people have a choice to either defend the system that has made them the lower class, or stand up against the system and tear it down, or simply try to fix the system and try to create the true American Dream.

It's using the superhero genre to discuss elements of social status, Orwellian oppression, the American Dream, and the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These are ordinary people who are given a chance to do something extraordinary. It definitely features some controversial elements but then again any story that involves politics is controversial in some way.

I am in need of artists who would be interested in drawing these stories that I have lined up. It is very much in the vein of comics like Preacher or Y the Last Man with realistic looking characters and color schemes.

If anyone is interested, or simply wants to know more about the story or characters, or if you know anyone who might be interested in discussing the comic, please send me a message. I hope there's someone out there that wants to hear the story of the Blue Collars as much as I do.
