New week's releases are up at http://www.piccadillyrecords.com -- and that's probably what Warren's grabbing right now -- just choose a genre from left and click "magic mix" to stream excerpts from the new releases.
What're you listening to? Right now, I'm still on two-week-old+ music -- that's about how far behind I am on idletime activities.
(Not necessary, obviously, but I do find it especially helpful when you add a little why/what description to your playlist -- sometimes a name doesn't grab me, and it's not until three months later I stumble across a sample or summary that pulls me in...)
HENRY FIATS OPEN SORE-mondo blotto lp(now that ive had more time with this swedish garage/pop/hardcore masterpiece, im actually processing just how funny some of these serious-sounding songs truly are) FAILURES-s/t lp (featuring mark mccoy of CHARLES BRONSON/OATH/HOLY MOLAR/ being-a-snobby-dickhead semi-fame and will killingsworth of ORCHID/AMPERE semi-infamy. fast and crazed hardcore with some serious songs, but more focusing on the retarded insular nature of the scene itself in a VERY confrontational manner. lyrics come in a sealed envelope, open at your ebay-risk, hahaha)
two good new records in one week? i feel like its 2004!
lately, a lot of: shudder to think, tori amos, sonic youth, foo fighters, coalesce (holy 11th grade!) boris, ampere, ?jester?, Bluebob, the sound of animals fighting, and whomever i'm engineering a record for. this week, it's Lotus Fucker followed by The Totalitarian Vegetables.
also, In Heaven And You, which i also recorded. one of my favorites.

I am listening to School of Seven Bells. I suggest everyone here check them out. Simply amazing stuff. Based on Warren's other recommendations, this will fit RIGHT in. Amazing, layered and textured work that is beautiful. It is loud and quiet at the same time. Amazing stuff.
This week I'm delving into Lycia's back catalog. I started with Cold and The Burning Circle and then Dust. I might get lost in here for a bit. I almost forgot how fucking brilliant Lycia was. It’s perfect music for the beginning of winter.
