I'll second that. Good fucking riddance to 2007. Hello, 2008.

Looking forward to your new and continued projects. Happy New Year.

Had a larf on the 31st midday when the dotty teen-aged daughter of our neighbor's took a turn way too fast on our frozen street and slid her car straight into a different neighbor's tree. She wasn't hurt -- the brain damage was pre-existing. The tree had a little bark scraped off but seemed otherwise fine. She said her brakes failed. Her step-dad got his truck and tow cable and pulled the wreck to the curb in front of their house, where it still sits, with its great big tree-shaped indentation. I get to look out my window at it from time to time and chuckle. We refer to her now as "George of the Jungle."

Mellow eve, pleasant New Year's day, even though it's freezing cold outside.

    Best to all.

There was a new year? When did this happen?

I spent a good chunk of 12/31 on a plane. I got back to my apartment just in time to grab a box of matches and a leftover firework "cake" and light 'er up after the New Year's countdown.

I think fireworks should be the 21st century equivalent of Yule Logs.

Had a lovely time dancing and rolling my face off. Spent most of the first day of 2008 disturbing the neighbors (and throwing my knee out in the process, oh well). Good start to the year.

I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
Saw some friends from the west coast who live here when they're not in school, had a great time and fell asleep early and sober. Very much unlike the bacchus fest in NYC I usually do every year but it wasn't so bad. Happy New Year you guys.

Bit late - but happy new year to you folks too. Hope it was fun. Personally, I got drunk and played Pictionary.
