    What're you listening to?

New week's releases are up at http://www.piccadillyrecords.com on Monday morning - just choose a genre from left and click "magic mix" to stream excerpts from the new releases.

Ariana usually swings by Largehearted Boy's Try it before you buy it posts on Tuesday mornings, too.

Right now, I'm listening through loads of recent discoveries like Angel, Akira Rabelais, Machinefabriek, Wolves In The Throne Room and Bitcrush.

    Commence playlist speakage.

Earlier, I was listening to The Mars Volta's Bedlam in Goliath, followed by Hank III's Straight To Hell, but now I'm waiting for my wife to get out of a school councel meeting and I'm hijacking a computer.

I picked up a few CDs/records this weekend.... two Melt-Banana's, two Huevos Rancheros, Poison Idea, a Danielson Family LP, seems to me there were a few more, but I'm pulling a blank.

    - "Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. A contender for my top five albums of the years, this. I can't believe I never seriously checked out Cave and company until this year, but after enjoying his and Warren Ellis' score for "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford", I knew it was high time I really gave The Bad Seeds a proper listen. "Let Love In" blew me away and this album has done more of the same.

    - The NIN/Bauhaus bootleg collection.
  9.  (4279.18)
Take Refuge in Clean Living - Grails (i dunno what it is called but i like it. they have the vibe.)

Night Recordings from Bali - Sublime Frequencies (exactly what it says. field recordings from Bali in 1989).

The Fates - Furia (seem to be a bunch of celtic witches from a few decades back, doing ritualistic folk. or something.)

Aquagenic - Drumlake (drony hissy glitchy niceness)

And a bunch of highly variable stuff of my own that I´m mixing.
