    Cool episode this week! ^_^ Its getting more and more exciting.

    Alice taking charge does seem a little too sudden for my liking though. I was rather shocked that she was so active - for a moment I thought Mark must be in her head. I'm still alittle suspicious though...if Mark could screen himself, can't he screen himself in Alice's head too?

    I don't think Luke can be the mastermind behind this attack...He doesn't have the resources or time. A motar attack seems like something that's planned way before hand, and the materials will be hard to get. There is the possibility that Luke is working with Mark in this as he's really pissed with the other freakangels..

    Can't wait to see Mark and can't wait for more Kait action!

    Well, she's not really taking charge. I mean, for one thing, she's going in the wrong direction...

    I honestly don't think Alice is anyone special to Mark... she was just a pawn to send out. I don't think she's psychically connected to Mark anymore.

    diello: Oh really? She's going to fetch her shotgun, then to fetch rope, then to climb the watchtower. She got a map in her head so she'll be unsupervised while she does it. A shotgun is not a weapon you use to shoot at people from a watchtower. It is, however, a weapon you could use to shoot at people on a watchtower with you...

    Oh, and Warren and Paul: I just caught up on a month or two's back-reading. Goosebumps. Keep it up!

    @kieranno: Or maybe she's just remembering chewing Connor out for not having a quick way down the tower and realizes Kirks a fucking sitting duck out there. High ground = easy target.

    It might not be the fancy rig she wanted Caz to rig up, but they can get something set up fast to get him done.

    And that means going up first. And if there's nasties between her and the tower... well, SHE can't strike up a quick freakfield, can she?

    Furthermore, I think Kirk will have no qualms about temporarily disabling her if he considers her a threat. However, this gives me an interesting thought. Why couldn't Luke see or sense the guy about to whack him in the head? Was he just too distracted with his job at the time? The Ability (for lack of a better term) seems to be alternately always on or a toggled ability. Is it too much work to be always on? Can some of them switch off while others can't? I'm just a little confused... and, in the event Alice does go rogue, I'm a little worried for Kirk.

    Not that he can't handle it. But still.

    It was Jack instead of Luke. Jack was working on getting the rope salvaged for Alice and Luke, well, doesn't really work at anything other than being an asshat from what all we've seen thus far.

    Let me answer your question with a question. Have you ever been spooked or startled by somebody sneaking up and yelling "BOO!" to make you jump out of your skin. Your senses of sight, hearing, smell, etc. are "always on" but if your attention is focused on something else somebody can sneak up on you and yell "boo." Or bash you over the head with a piece of wood, as the case may be.

    D'oh! Rotten kids getting mixed up in my head! I meant (and saw in my head) Jack, but for some reason typed "Luke". Don't even remember doing it.

    I can see where you're coming from with your answer, but most of the time when I get scared it has less to do with the amount of attention I'm paying to any particular sense and more that it happens at times my senses are overwhelmed (listening to loud music with my eyes closed, walking through a crowded mall, etc.) My point is that Jack, while being concerned with finding a rope and maybe coming up for air, wasn't particularly focused on anything more than swimming and not running into things. I suppose I might be resurrecting the "Why didn't Jack see the boat?" conspiracy theory, but it doesn't make sense to me that these powers don't seem to be particularly good at sensing danger in the immediate environment. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, and honestly, my belief system, from episode one, has been properly suspended to that something as mundane as being sneaked upon is just as logical as being able to sense intruders or danger. Makes no difference to me. Just a logical thing I'm trying to jibe.

    Can they sense danger?

    I don't think that's how their powers work. Why the need for a lookout then?

    @Warren

    Alice is going in the wrong direction? All week long I thought she was a bad ass.
    Don't ruin this for me, Warren!

    Alright, so this is my thinking behind "its not mark".

    1.You can't bring in the baddest of all baddies this early. Its only Issue two! If mi' Lord Warren wants to keep the series, you throw little baddies who eventually aid the big baddy in some way. Hence, Luke.

    2. In an interview, mi Lord Warren said we wouldnt be seeing Mark anytime soon. Now, this was a while back, but its still the same 24 hr frame in the comic.

    and 3.
    Well, she's not really taking charge. I mean, for one thing, she's going in the wrong direction...

    That pretty much sums it up.

    He does. You should read his Twitter posts. As if he actually goes to this "pub" thing... complete malarky. ;)

    And I was totally convinced on the naked cigarettes thing, too. Another myth shattered. *sigh*

    How did nobody else catch this gag? She isn't even out of the house yet ;)

    @kierano:
    That's an excellent point, but I think D has a better one.

    @diello

    Yeah! I've been thinking about how to reply Warren's comment the past 2 days and I realized that she hasn't gone out of the house yet too! >_< But she is intending to go to the pier to get the rope, and then the watchtower to get Kirk, with that conveniently placed map in her head AND link up with all the Angels.

    Well, she's not really taking charge. I mean, for one thing, she's going in the wrong direction...

    Wrong direction physically or thought-wise? I've never really been able to guess what Alice's intentions are... Shotgun=self protection=attack Mark?

    And... is this all a lie?!?!

    Warren is *evil*. :(
  7.  (4309.77)
    We know he's evil. I was leaning more towards Alice is going in the wrong thought direction.

    Still convinced its not Mark yet. Maybe minions. Maybe Luke. Maybe odd faction of scum bags from another town.

    Besides, While Warren maybe evil (in the best of ways, of course) he wouldn't sell himself short on a comic. Or us, his loyal fans.

    Right? RIGHT?!?!?!?!
  8.  (4309.78)
    If it isn't Mark... then it's gotta be someone with a unique skill of some sort. Someone who knows that the freakangels have the abilities and wants to attack them. All these attacks are too easily fended off. Like scouting missions to see what the group will do to defend itself. Organization, weaponry, tactical capabilities, response times.

    All that hot nastiness.

    So maybe not Mark, but likely. He's been gone for quite a while, so he wouldn't know what he'd be up against. Would need some sort of a dstraction in order to attack each freakangel piecemeal... yeah? An attack plan that exploits their weaknesses and forces them to separate...
  9.  (4309.79)
    And I want to take nailclippers to that small continent on the side of Alice's face. Enough onions and tapatio and we've got a meal for two.... dozen.
