In case anyone is interested, here's my sketch page for my Capt. Justice entry, with some extra notes and unused concepts. If I get bored later this week (HAH!), I may take a stab at Titanic Tower...

Yeah, Paul. I think that your inclusion of the sketches is really great, but then, so is your drawing and concept. I actually liked that you fleshed out your image with a description of their world, even if it is frowned upon. Perhaps I enjoyed it because it was so good, as opposed to having to drudge through some fanboy's fantasy fan-fic... And you redesigned the fucking letter J!!! Crazy. -

(Captain) Justice is blind, as the saying goes. Midge is his guide (seeing-eye) kid, thus the disturbing harness. No explanation for the matching pants and boots, or the excessive mutton chops. I almost mutton-chopped the kid too. And yes, that's a Gavel of Justice. GUILTY!

Good to see there's such a devoted "octopus" following here; I've loved drawing the damn things since third grade! Thanks for the nice words on the sketches also. I still struggle with keeping the energy of a good sketch going into final art, just gotta keep practicing I guess. I also cleaned up the "J" symbol a little since I first posted it.
I too was worried that my description was a little long, but I see this as an elevator pitch; your reader is trapped for a few seconds, give 'em the basics, something to remember, a few tidbits before the door opens and they run away screaming. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission, right? And I've been on the receiving end of way too many "fanfic" spews, so I try and keep it simple and to the point. -

I forgot that I was ripping off Fallout with the wrist computer, but it seems very evident now. The idea behind the gun is that you plug it into the wrist computer, calibrate and set it, then feed that into the goggle for accuracy and aiming information. The gun itself is outfitted with a five-lense camera that will photograph and recognize potential targets in the area, and the computer would then organize the information to feed into the goggles. I'm sure you could play Tetris on it, too.
He was going to have a big belt with different hand attachments, but it looked too cluttery, and I wanted to keep him at least a small semblance of simplicity on his person.
I imagine the tanks are oxygen, but to explain why is to break the rules!
I really like the idea of a hot used battery mortar function. :P

@kyle-latino Thank you too, Kyle. The I-pod on his shoulder is supposed to be a GPS (=robot parrot) and the tattoo reads "Bangladesh Gang". I don't know what that means and I'm not sure I wanna know either. I still think he lacks some cool iconic weapon, like the whale harpoon you included. That was a great addition.
Next time I'm invited to a wedding, I want a CthulhuPunk trench coat like Paul Sizer's.

I have been using MangaStudio EX 3.0 for all my sketching and digital inking. MangaStudio has THE best digital inking tools I've ever used, and with a big Wacom, it's nearly the same as inking by hand with a brush or pen. It's like PhotoShop geared specifically for comic making, and it kicks ass. Only makes black and white comics, but it's built for panels/pages/inking/sketching/pencilling. I sketch and ink in MangaStudio, then port it over to Photoshop for colors.
I also recommend getting the rubber pen nibs that Wacom makes, as it make the pen drag more naturally, which I found I missed with the standard stylus' hard plastic nib.
And yes, I am a colossal nerd about this, but it works so well, I gotta nerd out.
