Not to step on the younger us trend, but I got new ink.
I had the venus and the pom already, I got the moon and background added to tie things together.

@PaulGrahamRaven —That is darling, mostly because of your calculatedly casual, tough guy stance.

@thewaltonsare - Nice colours; any particular symbolism behind the pomegranates? Greek mythology, maybe?

@BZedan - hah! Last thing anyone would have accused me of at that age (or any other, I suspect) would have been that I was a 'tough guy'. That said, I was a Sixer in the Cub Scouts, and damn proud of it. I sewed the badge on myself. :)
  3.  (4338.4)
@PaulGrahamRaven: Greek mythology indeed. I call this the "feminine" side of my back.
  4.  (4338.5)
@thewaltonsare - In that case, may the underworld always let you back out again. :)

@PaulGrahamRaven: Hopefully at least a few months a year.

me at 23...I mean me at right NOW. pfffft, if I had a time machine I'd go back and kick the shit out of 18 year old me, hahaha.

    "jog on!"

@waltonsare: waldorf venus - fertility, pomegranate - Greek myth, Lahore legend (look up Anarkali), and fecundity (that word is way too much fun to say). Moon - Seline, monthly cycle, and generally female (Chandani in Hindi) ... feminine side indeed.

I get the feeling sooner or later I'm going to be finding a photo of myself as 18 soon. Memes are too damned fun.

    prom dress
Before going to an anti-prom in a dress I designed. Anti-prom because I didn't have anyone to go with. Senior year sucks when it just so happens that all of your friends (except one that I wasn't that close to) move away...

And I found this one while looking for a photo of me at 18 and couldn't resist:
Me at 14 or 15, after an evil evil hike that started way too early in the morning and took me way to long to get to the top (by the time breakfast had been long eaten). But at least I got to pick pretty flowers and talk to someone's grandma who was as slow as me.

@zoetica I think that photo of you at 13 is my favorite all time pic of you.

@Trini, your anti-prom dress is lovely, and makes me very happy. I wish I'd been crafty enough to sew such a thing for my own anti (climactic) prom, which I attended with a 6'7 platonic male friend. I am approx 5'2. The sight of us dancing together was... well, a sight. (I wore some sort of ridiculous rennie sack dress...remind me to scan a photo if I'm feeling brave.)

Me being an asshole, high school graduation:

Please take special note of the boss pewter dragon pendant from Medieval Times, and that I am making an oh-so-clever "wank" gesture with my right hand.

@Theremina: Thanks. To be fair, I had someone else do the actual sewing.

    I absolutely LOVE that pic.

Eight years old, circa 1998. Front row, second left to right. Apparently mistaking the location of the camera, judging by my stare.

Nine years old. Same place. Got the camera's location right, got my face all wrong. As you probably guessed, they forced us to place our hands on our thighs. Cute, eh? That's right, no.

Ten. Front row, third left to right. Got EVERYTHING wrong. Especially hair. Parents' fault. I miss that wristwatch.

Eleven. Front row, fourth left to ri -- oh dear GOD no comment.

Twelve. Yes, that's me. Seriously. That IS me. Fat Andre, the Andre that would remain until... four months ago.

Aaaand thirteen. A bit more respectable. Relatively. See why I don't smile in pictures anymore?

    'Bout two years ago.

This "self portrait time machine thread" deserves a thread of its own. Still the end of the year is a nice time to do it. I don't know how old I was when these were taken.

I was a vampire, my siser was a vampire poodle.

I was standing in a river.

My sister upped these to her flickr account along with some old photos of my parents in college that I'd never seen before. It made me feel heavy with the past, but in a good way. That's where you were back then, but so many things have happened since then and so many things are still going to happen in the future! Holy crap life is exciting. Even when it's not.

Haha, wow, what have I kicked off! You were all interesting youths. :D And a lot of "alternative" ones, from what I can see. Been there, done that, me being 15:
