It's out. Anything to say about it?

It wasn't in my standing order today, so, either my LCS (the awesome Travelling Man: Newcastle) has made a mistake, and I have to murder all of them, or it's not out.

I don't want to kill, prove me wrong kids.

    @Ian Mayor

Kill them all. The last art page kicks ass.

Not in my order either - UK delays again? (maybe they're all stuck in a train somewhere around Rugby)

Mine showed up here yesterday in the States.

Neither this nor Gravel in my LCS today, which was disappointing. As said above, likely post-New Year hold-ups.

    Doktor Sleepless #4

I liked it. The picture is getting clearer as to the who's and why's. It knife to the belly scene was vicious...just how I like it. Very cinematic. The things I didn't like about it were that we only get to see John for 3 pages ( I understand you were telling other parts of the tale, but I love the John character) and that it felt a tad short. Maybe because I tore through it so quickly, I don't know. I just think if Avatar is going to charge me $4.00 for a comic, it had better satisfy. Luckly, I love the series and it didn't really bother me that much.

All in all a good issue. I would recommend it.

Doktor Sleepless #4 is clever, sharp and darkly funny as all the previous issues. It brings new questions - like who the fuck is that Nurse, who seems to have an agenda of her own? She's almost as intriguing as John Reinhardt. Shame he barely shows up in this issue, but his appearance is good due to his excellent monologue.

But this issue doesn't feel as interesting as the previous. Is this bad? No. Sometimes, a small change of pace is good. And besides, there's a number of fascinating stuff, like imminent.sea. I liked the slower, more centered pace of this episode. It was entertaining and intriguing, and filled with sharp dialog that makes the reading flow like a river.

Rodriguez's art is getting better and better. His facial expressions and visual narrative are both excellent. The murder sequence is appropriately gruesome. He has the imagination to bring Warren's world to life. Add to that Greg Waller on the coloring, and there's a pretty book. Not that Andrew Dalhouse was doing a poor job, much to the contrary. It's just that Waller is my favorite color artist in Avatar.

Another great issue, Warren. This book is fascinating.

As always I find upon reading the new issue that I'm reading conspiracies that are not actually there and feel I need to re-read everything and look for clues.

Doktor Sleepless might be the most fascinating character I've read in some time.

Always leaves me wanting MORE. Never a bad thing.

Just not feeling this series, I can see that all the pieces are there, but it just isn't coming together for me. I do not identify with any of these characters, and I think the artist's obvious weaknesses are not helping me overcome this disconnect.

Wow. Lots of new information in this one... and it left me with a whole heck of a lot more questions than I had when I started. Seems a small world. Who knows/knew what? And Sing, what's going to piss her off enough to actually get her involved? The gutting scene was nicely played; the imagry is nice but, I'm a fan of the words. I am curious to see where the last three pages go in upcoming books. And, um, I know his back is in shadow, but parts aren't, where did the tattoo go?

Hank - We did a HUGE overprint on Gravel #0. So guaranteed your store can still order more copies and get you taken care of. Thanks.

Is there a pattern of guttings going on? I think I recall, someone else being gutted.
