Does that mean that like Whedon's AXM, your run will exist sort of disjointed from continuity (i.e. the other X-books never really seemed to affect AXM, and characters from all over the Marvel U. weaved in and out of it), or just that you're stating the obvious, that the above art does not relate to AXM?
Presuming he does I will be reading nearly all the X-books for the first time since I was about 16 years old. That still strikes me as silly even if I am enjoying myself entirely, hah.
That just made me realise that I would too, with the exception of New Exiles because that's Claremont again doing nothing new.
I didn't realise Fraction was up for the Young X-Men gig, but that makes me kinda excited to be honest. Although I'd have been happier if he had Pixie and Anole still on the team. Unless Warren takes them, in which case, wicked.
I'm hoping Warren picks some lesser used characters for his run, just so that we can see them get the chance to shine as well.
Every time I see that image, I thank the heavens that X-23 isn't going to be part of AXM: SS.
I am *really* looking forward to this. Whedon's AXM is entertaining, but reading that initial Ellis interview on Newsarama got me extremely excited. I look forward to seeing what he has in store.
The only thing I'm not too sure on one way or another is the art, as I haven't seen much of anything by Simone Bianchi (other than the promo piece).
You should check out his run on Wolverine with Jeph Loeb's 'Evolution' arc. It was really good, and contains quite a few X-characters, so it's probably going to give you the best idea on what to expect. Though all of his art is just damn stunning
Yeah, I've been thinking about doing that. The thing is, I am really not a fan of Jeph Loeb's writing. And frankly, I read up on what that story is about, and it just sounds really silly to me.
Still, I'll give it a look some time, if only so I'll know what to expect from the art in AXM: SS.
