@santapau - thanks, i was using one of these. my favorite tool for using white paint. I just squeeze it on my finger tip and dab it on there...also smear ^_^ great for stars/white kirby dots
I can totally see Sobriero's guy using that logo on his ship. "Call Spacehawk. No Alien Too Disgusting To Be Destroyed. KLondike-5-7956. No Fat Chicks."
Already too many superb contributions this week to single out favourites.
I felt a war haunted, hangdog face, in the Lee Marvin mould seemed appropriate. I don't believe for a minute that this really is former marine corporal Hawk, more likely it's just the name of the guy he killed to inherit the suit. If only because it avoids unfavourable comparisons with Paul Sizer's excellent logo design, this grizzled Hawk incarnation isn't the type to have wasted too much time fretting about his brand image. After 4000 light years without a smoke, he just wants to kill the bad guy so he can light up off the smouldering corpse. The mirrored helmet visor forces adversaries to witness their own death throes, a grim, last minute addition I exported wholesale from Michael Powell's "Peeping Tom".
He's been taken apart and put back together in so many battles with nothing but aliens around that now he's little more than machine - more engine than man. So much so that he's his own spaceship now, searing between the stars on wings of plasma as long as Mercury's orbit.
and ( which maybe I should put the ink to? )
Honestly, I should try again with him ripping up some horrible blob of sentient space jism or something.
So much good stuff in this week's thread, but I shall not be intimidated. Inspiration struck at work, so this was done with the materials to hand - biro and A5 lined pad.
He's alone. The supply lines have dried up. Everything he has is worn out and patched up, one repair away from broken. He chose not to believe that the war was over. So he fights on. For the last of the Spacehawks, there can be no surrender.
OH YES! I knew from the description that this would be a good one!!! @ Sobreiro, I love your sleazebag!
