    What're you listening to?

Warren, when he's got two extra seconds, checks the new week's releases at on Monday morning - just choose a genre from left and click "magic mix" to stream excerpts from the new releases.

I usually swing by Largehearted Boy's Try it before you buy it posts on Tuesday mornings, too.

    Commence playlist speakage.

Been driving a fair amount in the last couple days:

    HUGE RAT ATTACKS - Cougars
    TOM WAITS - Mule Variations
CARTRIGHT - A Tall Tale Comes of Age
    JESU - Conqueror
    UNCLE TUPELO - No Depression
DISEMBODIED - If God Only Knew The Rest Were Dead

Actually, mostly I've been listening to that HUGE RAT ATTACKS record because it is fucking awesome.
Also I have intermittently been enjoying the first Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book, read by Douglas Adams.

Oddly I didn't listen to Tom Waits this week. I did download a gig from dimeadozen the other day but haven't listened to it yet.

    This morning I found this:
    Dirtbag by Brad Sucks
With lyrics like: it seems you've mistaken me for someone who cares
i'm just a dirt bag under the weather and overrated

    It cheers me up greatly!

    Evening ladies and Gents,

Not sure if this is classed as new stuff but I have just very nearly deafened my flat mate and long term sufferer of my eccentric nature, alas he is too young to remember the show at all and thus missed the point of my excitement entirely, but I know you people out there will love this! Assuming of course that you do not already know.

Parallex have done covers of the soundtracks of the 1981 show Ulysses 31, which you can go onto their site and listen to/download a few samples.

I loved that show and had to tell someone else who might care as much about this revelation as much as I did

    here is the link

I'm off to immediately re-watch the entire series in my elation with wild abandon to effect this will have come the dawn.
