I'm playing Magenta in an upcoming shadow cast production of Rocky Horror Picture Show, so I've been listening to that soundtrack a lot. There's also been a bit of Rush and Nina Simone going on.

Unsurprisingly, these three things are horrible in a mix together.

I finally tracked down the Gutter Twins album.

My sincerest thanks to whoever it was from Whitechapel who recommended it, way back when. This album is fucking phenomenal.

I am going to see Animal Collective on stage again, next week. I'm always a bit scared before listening to each of their new records, but I know some of the new tracks from the last time I saw them so it's like, safe. I guess everybody on Whitechapel already know them too, but now they're going to be massive very soon. I just hope it doesn't melt down.

Team Sleep, Mary Timony, Muse and the Mars Volta head up the list of my recent listenings. Oh, and Peter Fox won't leave my brain alone. I can now sing the entirety of "Alles Neu" in the original German, and I'm slightly disgusted with myself. Ellis, I both love and hate you for posting that on the website. Please make Peter Fox leave my brain alone... TT_TT

I'm listening to dirty, Norwegian rock called "El Caco". It's not anything to be proud of, but it's catchy and I'm seeing them live in March!

    El Caco - Substitute

I have just rediscovered how amazing the Unicorns are. Proof positive that Canada gives us nice things all the time.

EDIT: Also, Carved by Glaciers is standing proudly next to my collection of Explosions in the Sky. Atmospheric instrumentals are always good to have.
