    This is known as a "stonebaby" or Lithopedion, which usually occurs when a fetus dies during an ectopic pregnancy (ie one where the fetus gestates in any tissue besides the womb - usually in a fallopian tube), is too large to be reabsorbed and calcifies on the outside, shielding the mother's body from the dead tissue of the baby and preventing infection.
