    "Who's your favourite?"
Kirk- definitely. good sense of humor and sarcasm, polite to all the non-freakangels, not afraid to slap luke around when he's being a little shit, pays attention to detail, not in the love/sex drama like some other characters, but not crazy either for spending time alone. the only annoying part is he's not as frequent as some of the other characters cuz its either him or alice up in the tower... oh well. second runner up is karl cuz he is pretty much all the above except not as funny.

"Who would be your mate, who would you like to hang out with?"
KK, because i'd probably hang out with a chick and kk digs science and booze so we have more in common!

"Which character attracts you the most?"
Kirk or Jack, they are manly men who aren't jerks or softies. :p

"On the other hand, who don't you like?"
Luke is easy to dislike, he's written to be a bastard. With that said, I don't like Luke. (Although I am disappointed with Arkady, who is basically Delerium from Sandman rather than her own unique character)

    @Laura
Yay, someone else who sees Arkady as Delirium!

I kind of like Arkady. If there's ever a Freakangels movie, I can see Arkady being played by Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies). She does sweet but strange really well.

I'm most interested by Luke so far. They make such a big deal out of how he's the smartest/most powerful of them, hands down, makes you wonder why he acts the way he does. I'll be disappointed if his brains end up all over the wall.

I'm sure we're not the only ones :) the resemblance is seriously uncanny which is a big part of why she isnt my favorite, i like delirium and i like arkady but i also like originality... it made me think how the other freakangels would match up to the endless (jack is like destruction since he's always away, sirkka is kind of like a nicer desire, connor strikes me as dream and kk as death, etc.). what do you think?

Arkady = Delirium! Yes! More like me!
    Although she is CLASS.
    But not the best.
  3.  (4696.107)
I find myself gravitating towards Karl's character. I love that he just wants to be left alone mostly. That and the sort of hippie meets mad scientist look.
  4.  (4696.108)
    @diello & laurahulett
I'm not a big sandman fan, and don't really remember delirium at all (other than that she was spacey) If anything there's mostly Osaka (from Azumanga Daioh) in her manner XD
Can't say ought about the writing, since I don't know what Warren intends with her beyond what's in the script.

    Who's your favourite?
Kirk or Jack. They both have this wonderful "I don't care" mentality, and seem to just do whatever the hell they want, while at the same time being incredibly laid back. Also Jack's job (hunting for random stuff) would be my favourite, especially in a boat. Very peaceful I imagine ('cept when the others invade your head...).

Who would be your mate, who would you like to hang out with?
KK would likely be one, I bet we'd have some awesome drinking contests and in depth conversations. Her or Connor, he seems like the quiet type that once you get to know him (or get him drunk) he would talk for a long time about interesting things- including all the FA adventures I suspect, considering he writes them all down. Although as a none FA he'd have to trust you...

Which character attracts you the most?
Sirkka, I know I'd never have her for myself, but a woman with that much love/care for other people must be an intriguing catch. She must be quite the adventurous type in bed too!

Kait too. An aggresive, to-the-point cop, always sexy. She owns the place.

On the other hand, who don't you like?
Caz, Miki. I'm not that fond of their characters. They seem *too* nice, and Miki seems to focused on saving the rest of world, instead of their own little town. (although that paid off in the long run anyway, you'd think people would put themselves first in a post-apocalyptic era.)

I think for me it's a toss up between Jack and Arkady.

Jack, because, well to be honest he reminds me of myself. Deeply and darkly ego-maniacal of me to say such a thing, no doubt, but I catch myself wondering when I read scenes with him in them if Warren didn't take a moment to think about me when he came up with his personality/looks. Which is equal parts impossible and insane, but still it happens.

Arkady, because she's ( accidentally or no ) almost entirely dissolved her ego and is nothing but sweetness and balm - even when she put the whammy on Luke.

For the record, I also think that her overdose experience, and the resulting effects it had on her ego-wise, are specifically the reason she's done SO much more with her 'package' than the rest have. She's simply 'not in the way of herself' anymore, and it lends her the freedom to really reach and explore without the hang-ups and obsessions that the rest of them are so desperately mired in.
Our own minds are really our worst enemies, sometimes.

Like the completely bent notion of mine that I somehow inspired Jack. I mean, what the fuck??

I feel like I should also mention that Luke is NOT my LEAST favorite of the Freakangels. That should put some things in perspective right there...

I have to say Arkady's my favorite. Mostly because I really dig on the mercurial nature of people who can swing from happy to vengeful and back in the blink of an eye. I thought the scene with her and Luke in Luke's Ex's apartment was awesome! I also like how, while everyone else is dealing with the, "Oh the angst, oh the agony, oh what have we done" she seems to know what utter oblivion is like and has made the decision to never return, at any cost.

There's something about characters who have stood on the very edge of loosing everything, only to claw their way back that I really enjoy.

    @Michael Furious

Arkady's my favorite too, but I'm not sure I agree with you about the overdose being the single overarching reason for her expanded abilities with the package. She was obviously messing with many drugs, and I tend more toward the idea that the mind-expanding and metaprogramming properties of drugs like LSD and Extasy contributed as much if not more to her egolessness, personality, and capabilities.

Aparently Arkady wins, everyone likes her brand of crazy meets cute. Kait's my current favorite, but the rest of my previous post is the same.

My favorite FA is Jack by a mile. The fact that he is so adamantly non-confrontational when the rest of them are busy arguing is fascinating. I think it's an unusual trait to find in a Warren Ellis character in particular--and he's being written really well! Not to say he isn't full of his own drama, but he is mature enough to point out what bullshit it can be and is content in being by himself rather than getting into a fight. KK seems to be the opposite--when haven't we seen her pick a fight, really? Not to say I don't enjoy her, but she's an archetype that I've seen a lot more of.

I think I would get along best with Miki and Caz, who seem to really have their shit together. I can respect that--I know what it's like to be one of the tiny, mature minority among a large group of twentysomethings who are still figuring themselves out. Arkady is cute and kooky, but I think I'd end up getting annoyed with her. I'd love to discuss the arts with Sirkka, though... she seems very worldly and sophisticated. Philosophy hour with Luke might be interesting as well, so long as he's not too condescending.

    Who would be your mate?
Kirk. He's very sure of himself.
Miki & Caz. I agree with Kinetic Novels with that kind of explanation.

Who would you like to hang out with?
Not who but what. Jack's boat. *L I like the water and would enjoy having his job. Or Connor's home.

Which character attracts you the most? Mark. I want to know if he cheated his own death. Kait because I like sleuths. Sirkha because she's very motherly.

On the other hand, who don't you like? Mark or whoever is playing Mark.

@atavistian - Luke would seem to disagree with you, and side with me regarding that topic.

I would also argue that the meta-programming and 'mind-expanding' qualities attributed to such substances is vastly over estimated, based on personal experiences with such. Tripping is one thing; sitting on the fence with death is entirely another.

What Arkady experienced was far more significant than just dosing and thinking deep thoughts.

My top three has to be:

    1. Connor- There is something about him that reminds me a bit of him

    2. Sirkka- Purple hair, I just...I need her service

    3. Kat- Best detective ever, No Hugs

sirkka is certainly my favourite. yes. and my friends who are all about freakangels like to tell me that i'm most like KK, with a bit of sirkka thrown in there, and i'm very much okay with that as KK is my second favourite.

After agonizing over it the last few issues, I think I can now admit to myself, and all of Whitechapel, that I no longer like Luke............
still don't want him to die, but I don't like him anymore.
