    Noise-fetish - this is mine.

    Result of my artistically split personality: from heavily texturized digital coloring through flat "vector" colors through some abstract pieces and photomanips to pencil and ink stuff. Recently started updating it again.

    My name is Michael L. Peters and I usually sign my artwork "MLPeters", so I'm that or "mlpetersartist" (myspace and yahoo, where "mlpeters" was already taken) everywhere.

    I can't seem to move or upload into folders... so everything is one big mess.

    Just recently set one up, after being told one too many times I should. Still getting the feel of things there. I can say at first introduction, that place makes me feel very very old.

    I'd like to put the question out, as I'm new to that community, how have you personally used it? What have you done there that was most rewarding?

    @oddbill
    I know what you mean about feeling old. There are more people in their thirties or older than might appear at first glance, but yeah - -mostly teens.

    I've been contacted about a commission through there -- still need to work out details.

    ...And a writer (and not a kid) contacted me, after seeing my work on deviantart and following links to my website, about lumping my work together with theirs (not in a legal binding way, just packaging) for their agent to shop around Hollywood... sounds dubious, but they claim the more books and concepts the agent can shop around, somehow it benefits all the projects... defies logic and I have yet to answer, so anyone who knows Hollywood shit, please advise...

    Sorry for getting off thread there.

    @oddbill I just use it as a reason to have my art somewhere. I tend to hide it in dark corners instead of showing it. That and its good continuing practice dealing with criticisms, and some vague attempt to be polite to people who like my art.

    I personally find my 'Stock Art' account most rewarding. Its a good place to put all the misc. pictures I take of textures, oddities, cracked paint... etc. Someone might use it in some digital art, and that doesn't bother me a bit.
