Fucked up the Cylons, bu um, by making a better show?

You did notice all the general "we love this show, even at its worst", tone in the thread right?

Your parents were wiser than you knew. I'll bet you own some of those silly-ass flying bikes from Galactica: 1980, don't you?

I'll be so glad when this show is over and I can shut this fucking thread.

Then where will we talk about space-wigs? Can we have a thread just for space-wigs and fucking crying?

NEW RULE: These are the only space wigs that may ever be discussed on Whitechapel:

Oh come now, they all stopped crying and have started killing each other in awesome ways.

Though I fear some tears will come forth in tomorrow's episode. Hopefully they'll be short, sweet and only a prelude to more glorious violence.

    @Sir Legendhead:

Oh, man, I'm having a cheesiness flashback. He's the one voiced by Jonathan Harris, right?

You know, I never knew those wigs were purple. My family didn't have a color set until that show was way off the air.

My dead wife, who I both loved and murdered, is alive, is an acceptable reason for tears. But yes a good point.

I'm really not sure who did the voice...he/it was my favorite one, though.
I always thought it was remarkable that they had a character named that on a mainstream TV show.
I remember liking how they'd touch on religious themes in the older version, but it's been so long since I've seen it that I don't remember the specific storylines that well now.

And I never have seen the new one, except for the very end of the one where they land on Earth (I think?).
By the time I became interested, it seemed like it was too far into the storyline to really get what they're doing with it.
Maybe one of these nights I'll rent the DVD and start with the first episode.

    @ Warren
    Excellent wig, Sir. :)

Jokes aside, the show is great for all of season one and most of season 2. The middle of Season 2 has two episodes so strong they got a movie made to expand them. It then falters a bit, but not that badly (and gets in one more classic anyway - Downloaded), before recovering with a bang up end. Season 3 starts amazingly strong and continues to be so...until it is not. Really not. Then it kinda goes crazy off the rails into just "is this show dead?" bad for a bit. Unlike Season 2 it does not recover in the end but instead gives us some of the worst court room drama ever seen on TV combined with a big reveal which seems to be a major WTF, and a second big reveal which is kind of a "duh". Only Season 4 takes the big reveals and start making them work (it takes a few episodes), then it makes them awesome. Then the second half of season 4 not only is not stumbling it is full bore as good as the show was when in started.

Is it a rock steady show? Nah. But then US shows are all too long for rock steady. For four seasons and a couple movies BSG works. The good is more then enough to ignore the bad. The great is better then most TV we get.

^ So there's only four seasons? I've got a few weeks off from school coming to me, I should have time to check this out. Thanks:)

So were the enough plot twists tonight? Good thing for the comic relief cameo. This show just keeps getting weirder.

I think it's kind of funny that in all the talk that I've seen about how the Five got to the colonies, and why it took them so long, 'relativistic ship' never came up. Simplest, fairly logical solution, and completely ignored.
