    My bet:

    1) What is chip-six? We still haven't had any explanation for what is or isn't going on in Baltar's head.
    3) What was going on with the temple on the Algae Planet? Still a mystery that even Ellen doesn't seem to understand.
    6) Why did Roslin, Baltar, Six and Athena share that vision of the Opera House?


    Are answers we might not get.

    I need to watch this again, but didn't Ellen ask Boomer about a "spiral formation"? Something like that.
    And "Daniel was an artist." That comment made me wonder about Starbuck, a little, but another possibility that occurred to me is... Daniel isn't dead. He's floating around in Cylon Idea Space, a ghost in the machine, manipulating events here and there... appearing as visions.
    And no, I have no idea how Rosalyn, Baltar, and Starbuck would be getting messages in their brains from a bodiless cylon. But it feels right.
    Funny, I spent three seasons hating Ellen. Now she's one of my favorite characters.

    I really hope you're wrong. This will seriously disappoint me, as these were such prominent plots. Not at least making a stab at answering (or, at least, acknowledging) these things is sloppy.

    I think we'll get a lot more answers when Ellen gets onto the ship--if the only way they could rebuild the Ressurection tech was to have the complete five together, then what else could they do if together?

    @bill - I think you could probably lump 2 and 4 together. Seems at this point like whatever Kara is will have broader implications for the religious history of the colonies. Even if the technical answer is that she's a half-breed, that doesn't answer all the dream/prophecy stuff, so there's got to be more to it beyond that. In fact, she may be some kind of trans-human; not biologically a Cylon at all - she might be Cylon Jesus.

    @JTraub - the only one I'm genuinely concerned might not be answered is 1. If so, yeah, that would suck. But I'm still holding out hope - the Baltar/Six brain thing could easily tie into their visions of the temple somehow.

    I think this is referring to that time on New Caprica when Ellen had sex with Cavil so he'd be lenient during Tigh's interrogation. At the time, Ellen's Spiral move really got Cavil's fleshy bits going (apparently he's not into that anymore), so I think Ellen was trying to imply that Cavil was only keeping Boomer around as a sexbot. And I'm right there with you, Chris -- I hated Ellen from her first scene back in Season 1, but now I was really hoping she'd just roundhouse kick Cavil's head off and let the centurions play pyramid (or whatever that game is called) with it.

    Also, the part of me that loves number sequences that make sense liked that we got confirmation a 7 is not one of the final five. I'm liking the theory that

    "Daniel" was Kara's father and she's the first half-breed that resurrected back on Earth

    If Kara's a half-breed who resurrected the standard way...where'd the other model come from? Did Daniel happen to build a bunch of blank copies of her somewhere and mature them to just the right age?

    In an interview, the biggest name attached to the spin-off, Eric Stoltz, said he was playing a character named "Daniel Graystone" on Caprica. Make of it what you will.

    The time line is all wrong for Daniel Graystone to be #7 Daniel. Graystone is supposed to be the guy who invents the Centurions, Daniel wasn't created until after the first Cylon war.

    We actually got a tiny hint at the answer to this from Anders right as they pulled him into surgery. He was talking about the 'warning' and how he saw a woman (and Tori saw a man) that no one else could see.

    Well, I actually do think this may tie into Caprica, if you have seen some of the very specific spoilers. I keep thinking we might not get out answer in this show, but the next. I hope they justify the Opera House. I do not think the Algae Planet matters much. The sheer amount of logical answers we are getting works well enough for me, so far, that I will give them rope on ideas that did not pan out.

    And ah poor Ellis, this show will soon die, but then they have given the prequel a full season already. People (the old fogies anyway) may recall my obsessive tracking of Caprica's on and off again life cycle over two or three message boards. It looked like a great idea when BSG had hit ratings, seemed like a bad idea around season 3, then well every show not named Stargate bombed...

    I'm not sure how much interest I have in a prequel. Prequels feel a little too Star Wars and Dragonlance (Coming soon: The Time of the Toilet-Training of the Twins Trilogy) for me. Really, the prequel boils down to a bunch of folks coming together to build robots that eventually turned on them, which we already know about.

    I look at Freakangels. Sure it might be fun to digress into a six-volume omni-series about how dying aliens (or whatever) came to earth and created the Freakangels, what the Freakangels' early lives were like and have an in-depth exploration of what they did to end the world and how they came to seek a kind of redemption in Whitechapel. But the tagline of Freakangels is "This is the story of what happened next." And that's what I'm more interested in.

    The last episode kind of feels like they are getting the groundwork laid for the big bang of an ending. At least that's what I'm hoping.

    In agreement with most, didn't like Ellen pre-resurrection very much but like the post-resurrection version a lot more.

    I don't think so. I think Daniel is Starbuck's father (and wouldn't it be cool if he were played in a flashback by Michael Shanks?). Baltar's not old enough to have fathered Starbuck. I mean, sure he's the mack-daddy pimp of the Fleet, but I can't really see him fathering a child at age 9.

    The fact that Daniel was an artist and the way Starbuck wanted to be absolutely sure that Daniel was the word that Anders really wanted to say points fairly heavily to her being half Cylon but we'll find out soon enough i suppose.

    Going back to Black Market for a moment can any one imagine the Admiral shooting an unarmed man in cold blood like that? Even if he was pimping out children.

    A very random Baltar guess:

    Caprica spoilers (from released clips):
    It looks like the precursors to Cylons was two technologies: AI and holographic simulation. Considering part of the nature of Cylon technology is organic, I honestly think the answer to Chip-Six and Chip-Baltar will be given via Caprica. I am not exactly sure how it will be worded, I could guess (and will shortly), but the two technologies seem easily bridged to the Chip-Six thing. It is entirely possible Baltar used old research from Greystone's work on himself and some how made himself susceptible to an AI imprint of Six. More so if Daniel Greystone is a (brain washed and planted) Number 7 and Starbuck's father, this might all tie together nicely. Ok, or at least in some manner.

    Easily. If you'll recall, he very recently had two unarmed men shot down in cold blood.

    Yeah but Adama killed Zarek and Gaeta because he had to. It's one thing to let the foot soldiers off/imprisoned but a military vessel in that situation cannot allow the leaders in a mutiny to continue breathing. Plus he didn't actually pull the trigger. Adama kills when he has to whereas Apollo didn't have to and did it anyway.

    Maybe i'm wrong. I don't know but that's how i see it.

    Which is entirely out of character for him in specific, which is part of the issue with that one. I do not think the writers have actually called out any other single episodes as mistakes, though they do seem to point out dropped or slightly botched plot lines.
