My comic shop is a man parked behind the register just for show. He doesn't do anything, he doesn't give a shit about anything. He's an asshole and it's early.
So, anyone know any online comic services that I can order single issues from? I got to get my Ellis fix somewhere.
Mail Order Comics is awesome! Great discounts (38% on most of the big publishers and 25% for smaller ones) and amazingly friendly (and helpful) customer service.
Discount Comic Book Service. That's what I've been using for the past few months. Discounts on prices and pretty good service (I've only had to interact with them once, but they seemed very friendly).
I have been using them for about 2 years now and they have excellent customer service. For example, despite being a discount pre-order company they have always been willing to add reorders onto orders for me at the normal discounts for books I missed. They ship fast and generally respond to emails Wednesday-Friday.
I started using DCBS in December, but I won't be able to really give a whole lot of opinion on it until I get my first order. The 35% discount on most things help, but the shipping fee counteracts that unless you order a lot. I might try out HeavyInk, since 20% off plus free shipping might let me save more money.
