I have been doing an autobiographical, panel-a-day comic for just over two years now without missing a day. I admit that I'm not the greatest artist around, but please read what I write, as that's usually the best part.

I also print them myself, monthly. In the printed issues, I write a couple of pages about something, which doesn't get put online. (Front and backmatter, I suppose.) And my covers are usually much better drawings than the rest of my drawings, for what it's worth.

I do The Ulster Cycle, a series of serials set in Iron Age Ireland and based on the eponymous cycle of Irish legends. The current one is The Cattle Raid of Cooley, based on the ancient Irish epic Táin Bó Cúailnge, a war/coming of age story featuring the legendary Ulster hero Cú Chulainn and the formidable Connacht queen Medb. It's published weekly, every Wednesday. It's 26 pages in, and I expect it to run to at least 200 pages, maybe 300.

The previous one, Ness, is a 72 page prequel featuring Cú Chulainn's grandmother in her young days. You can read it online, or buy the book (with retouched and rescanned art, and 8 pages of background notes.

Try it. You'll like it. Malachy Coney, top Belfast comics writer, says I've "found a window looking into the past, and he decided to smash it and climb on through." Cartoonist Davy Francis says it's a "a wonderful tapestry of rich characters,intertwining centuries-old legends with 21st Century artwork to die for."

I write the supernatural action/adventure Abandon: First Vampire.

Lamashtu, Sumerian demon and the First Vampire, has hidden herself behind many lives. Currently she is Laila McCarthy, Professor of Ancient Cultures. On a military-led artifact recovery mission she faces the forces of an old enemy. Studying the relics with a handsome agent of the Bureau of Evil Elimination brings her ever closer to danger.

Bobby Nash, author of Evil Ways, says:
"In the first issue of Abandon: First Vampire, creators Greg Carter and Elliot Dombo take us around the world and introduce us to a very interesting cast of characters. The first issue of Abandon: First Vampire gives us sex, violence, and a healthy dose of mystery, but most importantly, it did something that every comic should do. Yeah, I do a webcomic.
Photo-based, not really that similar to A Softer World if you actually read more than a few. It's called Sinister Bedfellows.

I also made a short run, linoblock print, Lovecraft meets the Eddas, webcomic, Cthulhuvida.

And I'm the founder of the North Carolina WebComic Coffee Clatch. 4 years and 75+ members strong, we just released our second anthology, Good Luck Sweet Cookie!

I'm being drawn out of hiding to mention I write Lord Buttersnatch's Fairy Detective Troop at buttersnatch.com. Noir, mythology, punk rock. We're only up through the first 25 pages or so of a very long story and the site is the most primitive thing imaginable, but the artist is doing some marvelous stuff and a big update is coming within a week.

Intentionally Left Blank is a weekly journal comic about my day-to-day misadventures.
Me and My Jane is a weekly dramedy about four young adult kids in Michigan.
And Primary is a weekly (soon to be MWF) drama-y comic about a group of teens coming to terms with themselves and each other as they enter the adult world

Sails of Blood

The Carribbean: the 1690s
Jacob van Ritter’s a Vampire Pirate Alchemist. His girlfriend, Marielle, is the captain of her own pirate ship, the Damballah. She’s a Zombie. The hot chicks with the swords and guns are a kill team of combined wet work squads from the Puritan Witchfinders and the Catholic Inquisition.
van Ritter wants the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismestigus, rumored to have surfaced during Morgan’s sack of Panama City. Marielle wants to party and kick ass. The assassin nuns want him staked, beheaded, and burned.
Oh, and van Ritter’s crew are all ritually scarified Mayans high on hallucinogenic toad.

I draw one webcomic written by Steven Grant, ODYSSEUS THE REBEL. It's a "re-think," as Steven calls it, of the classic Odyssey story. This is a serialized graphic novel.

I also co-write another webcomic, ESCAPE FROM TERRA. It's a continuing adventure strip, about plucky anarchists in the Asteroid Belt who must contend with a grasping United World government coming at them from the motherworld. Sandy Sandfort sends me story treatments in the form of short-stories, I turn them into comics scripts, and Lee Oaks draws them up.

EDIT: The week after I posted this our page-views jumped an average of 2,500 per upload day per strip, and the rate is still climbing. We bow before the awesomeness of our belubbered Intarwub Yaysus.

(Although of course, we hope our NYCC appearance had something to do with the second week's increase. Otherwise we wasted a lot of money.)

Hi, I'm Gardner, and I co-write the webcomic Registered Weapon, an action-comedy strip about the toughest homicide detective in LA and his new partner, a robot who used to be a cash register.

We just premiered three weeks ago, so now's the perfect time to jump on board. We update every Tuesday and Friday. I also do a solo comic called The Adventures of Lil' Gardner & Robot Jesus. It's not drawn as well.

Hi! I'm Jennifer Lynn Jordan. I co-write Darwin Carmichael is Going to Hell with my lovely and talented co-writer/artist/friend Sophie Elza Goldstein. Darwin lives in Brooklyn, the borough of choice for hipsters, artists, deities and an assortment of mythological creatures. Darwin has a problem. Due to an unfortunate incident involving some intense snogging, an unbalanced high chair, and a framed image of the Buddha, he acquired a massive karmic deficit. Long story short, he’s going to go to Hell. Darwin doesn’t particularly want to go to Hell, so he’s doing everything he can to save his immortal soul.

I run a teeny tiny artist collective called Nomad Chronicle were I personally do two webcomics the first being a little diddy called 10-9 a dieselpunk drama about love and duty set against the backdrop of a modern day World War II. 10-9 is also finally seeing regular updates on Tuesdays. Secondly is a fluffy little four panel strip called The Trials of Triple A which just relaunched like.. yesterday after a long dry spell which now updates on Saturdays. Kind of a silly little story about the a college bully and his effeminate gay best friend who loves him. Good times. My studio mates Rose Meloche and Rose Loughran run Ghosts and Red Moon Rising respectively and I've been elected to be the PR guy on behalf of us all and would appreciate it of the nice folks of White Chapel dropped buy to give our new studio launch a good hullo. :3

It's still all bullets and bodies around the Optimum Wound shop. We currently have 3 online graphic novels on the go.

Richard Serrao is once again working on his original series Memento Mori and sent me in a stack of new pages to letter and post.

He's also been working on Silent Scream and has 19 pages posted.

And I'm currently working on a batch of new pages for my webcomic, Battles Without Living Witnesses after a long hiatus.

My mate and I do a little webcomic called 'On the Cusp' about... well it's mostly about two cousins who argue a lot. But there's other stuff going on as well. Updated three times weekly and the art gets better as it goes along, despite the fact that it's almost always stick figures and a lot of the art gets recycled. That's more a design decision that anything else since stick figures don't exactly take days to draw. It occurs to me (an hour or two later) that is should probably include an example or two.

Hey, Warren and crowd. As many here know, I write a webcomic called ACTION, OHIO which updates every Monday (tomorrow!) at the Shadowline Comics webcomics hub.

The comic asks: what would happen if the comic book industry as we know it today was created to hide the existence of real-life superheroes living in the heart of Ohio? It explores detective Andrea Bruce’s private dilemma and the sacrifices she must make in order to save an isolated community struggling to contain its secrets. Choosing between solving a murder and opening a Pandora's Box of evil or putting aside her vendetta to help a group of heroes contain their existence and freedoms, Andrea unfolds the mysteries of a sleepy little town that inspired the Silver Age of comic books and races to find a killer before he forces its inhabitants to reveal themselves and destroy the world.

Hiyas, my name is Rob Bentley and along with Paul Chabot and Brenden O'Neil we are currently producing a web comic called The Legend of Lili Deacon.

Lili is a western themed comic with cowboys, demons and the aforementioned Lili Deacon. Currently, the comic will be coming back from hiatus on February 4th and will be running on a Wednesday schedule.

This is our first foray into web comics. Our first foray into self publishing comics was entitled Totems (no relation to the DC book) and ran in black and white for a grand glorious four issues....and then we wimped out, tried screenwriting (yay, made the top ten in PGL 3) and then plunged back into the deep end of comic books like the junkies we are.

It started out as something short form for me to practice drawing very small to reduce the ammount of detail i could fit into a panel.

Moon Freight 3

"Moon Freight 3" is a comedy/sci-fi strip about what it's like to be one of the ordinary guys in a science-fiction world. Not a great starship captain, not some destined hero, but a regular guy working a crappy job he got stuck in and isn't quite sure how to get out of. Except he lives on a space station and works with a robot. It's black-and-white and updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

I've been drawing a webcomic for five years. The first two I wrote myself,the last three were written by my girlfriend (and later wife) Mary. It updates sporadically, which is 'I've been making a webcomic for five years' code for 'I have no fucking idea when I'm going to update this next, but I will at some point'.
It once gained minor notoriety when I wrote a really long rant about how much I hated Jeph Jacques. I later apologised, and took the rant down.

It's called Shit Happens. For some reason, the name puts a lot of people off.

I have another webcomic. I'm sorry about it. I'm sorry. I wish I could stop but I can't oh god help me stop this horrible crap.

It's called Suburban Panic, and it recently went from being a single panel, observational gripe sort of thing, to a slightly more narrative journal comic interspersed with Other Ideas. Here's a recent strip, so you can dislike it without bothering to click.

And let me add my voice to the chorus of "Thank You Uncle Warren"s. I will gladly sacrifice my bandwidth on the altar of your reflected glory. Or some such nonsense.

It's essentially an exercise meant to keep me working on a long form story and make sure that whatever else I'm doing, I'm at least regularly putting something of mine out there on some kind of schedule. I'm working on a few webcomics (most of which can be found here), but the one that I update regularly on any occasion is Harmless Free Radicals. It has currently taken a shift from the last time I posted about it. No longer is it an ongoing series of gag strips about life in the Pacific Northwest (though those are still in the archives), it is now a burgeoning graphic novel that shall be titled Gretch Müller's Combat Guide to Making Coffee.

I know a lot of people are familiar with NIGHTMARE WORLD already... but what many of you may not realize is that we were recently picked-up to as a part of the Image/Shadowline webcomic family. Huzzah for us!

The result is us posting a page a day Monday through Thursday of our lil' series of stand-alone yet interlocking cerebral horror-esque stories featuring everything from Cthulhu to zombies to fairy folk to werewolves. Each story is written by me and illustrated by a different artist or art team... just like this:

If cerebral horror is your thing and/or you lament the fact that there aren't any CONSISTENTLY good horror comic anthologies out there these days... well, you need to check out NIGHTMARE WORLD.

I co-create a comic called Dingleberries.

It was started last August with my friend Foley that was self-referential about our antics. We drink, smoke and play D&D mostly.

We went on an unofficial hiatus in October due to me bankrupting all my savings by trying to become a freelance illustrator, then having to take a job that required me to be outside the house 12 hours a day, 5 days a week. Until I find some sort of stable income-work level, Foley has taken over doing his own strip (via the same webspace, called 'Dingleberry') that has nothing to do with our last story line. But still, it's something that updates once a week, every Friday at some point of those 24 hours.

Did I mention we drink a lot?

It's not very well drawn and we're still finding our voice but you should support us anyways because we do give a damn about comedy. And geekiness.

Misery Depot is a free mystery/science fiction webcomic released by Papyrus Comics, by Hermés Piqué and Juan Romera, intended for mature audiences. It can be read online or downloaded in various formats, such as pdf, cbr or cbz.

Synopsis

An anomaly causes an elderly mother to awake undressed inside a humid capsule. The voice of her daughter echoes in her memory, the intent of her words forgotten. Was she sharing the completeness of their unity, or hatefully wishing her mother's demise?

A seemingly infinite corridor of capsules hosts hundreds of persons, calmly sleeping, miserable underneath. Yet, an old man shares the mother's awareness, and is even certain of the nature of the place: a high-technology concentration camp; the second one for him to escape...

Here is my latest webcomics. It is a revamp from an autobiographical work and I turned it into something ... else.

Beware it turns a little gory at the end.
No drawings but pictures (does it work ?).
Oh yes, almost forgot it is written in french. An english friend of mine may translate this one.

I made a webcomic for a while in 2004. I recently uploaded it all to my flickr account for posterity. In an attempt to avoid the art, I made it south park style. I wouldn't mind bringing it back in a form where I just write it and someone else makes it look pretty. I do realize that the writing falls very flat in post places.

It's about a pair of humans who accidentally end up traveling the universe.

Yes, I do the webcomic 'Byron: Die, Byron! Die!' which is currently updated weekly on the SLG Publishing website. You can view it here. This comic is a continuation of the Byron GN that was published last year. Byron is on the road looking for his brother, who just happens to be a two-headed pickled punk.

I have just finished up the fourth chapter, which is still available for viewing at the SLG website. Chapter 5 will start in mid-February with about two pages being uploaded every week.

I am now writing two webomics. The first is Legend of the Burrito Blade which updates every M/W/F, and we mean that. We just posted page 10. I just got the art for page 52. It's the touching story of two swords, powered by cuisine, and how they are going to fuck everything up for NY and eventually the world. Full comic pages for it, not a 3 panel type of thing.

The other is Things Wrong With Me which REALLY launches Feb 10th but which is getting a bunch of preview updates now until then. Once it laucnhes it wil update every Tues/Thurs. It's a webcomic without much art. Six friends, endless conversations. I am trying to do, in a strange way, radio dramas via the web, I suppose. Just people having conversations, but that's it. they have heads, that's the only art. The rest is theatre of the mind. Lazy? Crazy? Stupid? PERHAPS! But also fun as hell.

Milo, Eva, and Hank, with Nimbo the angry stormcloud off in the distance. Eva hasn't come into the strip yet, because I'm still refining her look. And there's a few main characters that I'm still deciding on. It's a new effort, but I really needed to get something going that was regular and ongoing with this character while I work on the book I'm writing/illustrating.

i write and draw a weekly webcomic called Sleep Deprived, with characters loosely based on people i've met throughout my life. iT's more geared towards fantasy and sci fi humor. Strange humor i'm told, but humor that i at least get. At times, i try my hand at social commentary, though i tend to doubt if it works.

i run it out of my Myspace blog and occasionally my Livejournal account as i have zero funds to put towards anything aside from art supplies.

i have one book collecting most of last year's multi-page strips through Lulu.com

Though i have partly been inspired by Jhonen Vasquez in my art, i have also been more inspired by the likes of Kevin Eastman, Food One, Stan Sakai, Steve Dillon, and Darick Robertson. i'm tired of being called a poor man's Jhonen.

Din Krakatau is a webcomic that JUST finished today with 128 pages of (sometimes literally) brainstomping fun. Although... it didn't really finish, as along the way it became the first volume of a larger thing called Amen City Chronicles (and I'll be relaunching it under this title, entirely relettered, grammar & spellchecked, in the next few months).

As you can see the art starts well... not that great, but it improves (the three pages posted are roughly 35-40 pages apart from each other).

And yes, she does have a tentacle sticking out of her eyesocket on the last page :D

Next I'll be drawing something unrelated and then return to this one for volume 2.

I've been doing Stamp of Adventure, a comic based on my late nephews artwork, for the last eight months or so. The carved stamps are lifted directly from his drawings (he was five at the time) and the backgrounds, when they exist, are done by me. My goal is to try to keep the absurdity level where a 5-7 year old would enjoy it.

Oh, I sorted out my scanner problem after the first one here, I've just been too lazy to go back and fix this one.

It starts with a 4-page bit about voting, and then goes into the storline "Skate for Life," which is about young ne'er-do-well Aditi Rai becoming a courier to pay off her rent, and the woman trying to kill her to get the condo in question. There's a lot of ink. Here is page one:

My name is Bob Heske and I am the writer of the new vampire series THE NIGHT PROJECTIONIST which is being published by Studio 407 with film rights optioned by Myriad Pictures (Jeepers Creepers).

Studio 407 is posting a page a week of issue one on the web as a creepy noir web comic - think Creepy and Eerie with a dash of Tom Mandrake. Personally, seeing the story in black and white online gives the story a different dimension - and provides a more traditional gothic experience - than the full-color book. On the web is the only place you can see issue one in black and white.

I make a comic by the name of Dark Places, which is somewhere in the genre of fantasy-adventure-horror - part sword-and-sorcery, part eldritch horror.

Firstly, I want to thank everyone who has shared their comics to this point. I'm going to really enjoy sitting down to check all these out when I get home from work. I can see my RSS Reader is going to get a workout.

About 4 months ago I started a silly project that's becoming not only an addiction, but something I MUST do. It went from 'Let me try this out' to 'I'm in it for the long haul' very quickly. I thought it would be fun to do a comic featuring some of the amigurumi my wife makes. The result is Amu's World.

Love the flow of talent in this thread. My work's just launched after a year of pre-production and the collapse of my previous online comic. It's a lil slice of action I like to call "Nine Shot Sonata".

The basic premise is such: Essentially, everyone knows of the story of the convenant between God and Lucifer - that each would not directly interfere with humanity and let the worth of the race decide it's own end to see - at the end of all things - who was right; God, or Lucifer.

Obviously, Satan never held up his end of the bargain. That leads a group of Angels to take matters into their own hands and generally muck things up. God certainly can't do anything, as per the agreement. So the newly appointed angel of Death taps the only person who's capable of dealing with the situation: a Demon enjoying his last trip to the mortal plane.

There's a lot of fantastic stuff here! My brother and I publish a few comics under the name Cook Bros. Comics. What we are currently working on is a webcomic called Stick Shift. Stick Shift is a webcomic about kicking ass and racing fast! Think Mad Max meets South Park with a little Cannonball Run and you are almost there. I'm new to the site; hi. This is a great list.

I'm Danielle Stephens; I colour for Goblins: Life Through Their Eyes. Tarol Hunt is the creator, artist and writer.
It's Dungeons & Dragons dark fantasy from the point of view of those squishy little goblins usually perceived to be the bad guys.
Launched in June 2005, it began in b/w then morphed to colour, but the b/w bits are available coloured in the paper version.
Updates roughly weekendly. Free online, or buy the book :P

I'm happy to throw my hat in the ring. I do a webcomic called Misadventures of a Comic Fan. I've just started reading Freakangels at one of my artists behest and this thread is an excellent idea. My name is David A. Rodriguez and I write the Webcomic, Shadowgirls. The series is described as "Gilmore Girls meets H.P. Lovecraft!" Shadowgirls is rated PG-13.

Here is the standard blurb.

"At the tender age of fifteen, Charon McKay disappeared from the small coastal town of Innsmouth. When she turns up, nine month later, she is incoherent and raving; and slightly more surprising…pregnant. No one knows who the father is and even Charon is unable to remember what happened to her. The only thing people know for sure is that she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Rebecca Sue McKay and that both her and her mother are decidedly strange. In fact, most people stay away from them entirely. But Charon and Becka have more immediate worries. Strange creatures have appeared in Innsmouth and awaken dark and terrifying powers within the girls. Only the Shadowgirls can stand against this ancient threat…if the power doesn’t consume them first."

Helix Industries is a dark future webcomic set in the year 2199. A changing world has forced society to retreat to a number of independant city states. The story centres around a young woman with some strange abilities who is running from the corporation that controls one particular city.

And since I feel guilty that my comic also involves psychic powers, I should point out that I started this one before I had ever heard of Freakangels and in no way mean to step on Mr. Ellis (or anyone's) toes. :)

Getting back in the game with this one after some time off...

Hold My Life is a weekly series about would-be Rock & Roll star Penny Heartbreaker, and her struggle to make a go of it in the music industry. Unfortunately, the music industry doesn't want to cooperate. Half the time, her band doesn't want to cooperate.

The comic features a different kind of interface, and some fun additional layers of content, primarily in the form of an mp3 soundtrack for every episode, featuring bands that you probably haven't (but you'll sure wish you had) heard before. Also a music blog, twitter and other nonsense from the main character attached to the comic. The series was on hiatus for a good chunk of last year, but is returning effective today, and ongoing until I lose my mind again.

Did not catch this Bad Signal until just today...not...quite sure how I missed it. Regardless.

Something Odd is a webcomic I do sporadically using a strip generator after I finally came to terms with the fact that I simply cannot draw.

It's the heartwarming story of a put upon guy named Sig, and his two roommates, a floating disembodied eyeball named Eye and a pig named Orvil. Current story arc involves Orvil and Eye trying to help an immortal snowman (who was cursed to be such by Zeus) die. Satan is a frequent guest star.

I do a comic called Zombie Years:
Zombie Years takes place in a near future Miami, Florida where the sky has fallen, the Gods have fought, Jesus Wept, and the snake has eaten it’s tail. Humanity is a bug on the windshield, and the sky is wearing down the cities.

The world has ended, but you still gotta eat.

The survivors of the tragedy now try to get along, the daily struggle to survive is the routine and the rule, and everyone watches for the The Fever: a maddening virus that drives people insane, eventually dying from it ….and then coming back!

“It’s just one of those day-dreams put into a story” says series Creator Juan Navarro, “After watching endless Zombie flicks and reading various survival horror, you begin to wonder how you and your own would test in such an element. Miami would be perfect setting for this, and I think it will be fun to explore the full idea of the Survival Horror scenario with Latino slant to it. Plus some Cuban jokes help too!”

I've just begun an experimental web-comic. I'm doing all the art chores, and the viewers get to leave comments that shape and drive the story - at least, that's the idea.

Right now I have the initial 27 pages up to be read, along with the 'rules', such as they are, and it's all HERE.

Hello, everyone!

My webcomic is called Paper or Plastic?, and it updates on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The artwork isn't great, but you never know, things might improve :)

It's based in a fictional supermarket/department store, and you've got a store manager who was hired for punching out a former co-worker, the author as a neurotic salesperson, and a samurai who got into retail. How odd do you want it to get? (Actually, it gets pretty freakin' odd...)
