    @Pooka and Santapau

    Thanks! I appreciate it as I'm new to the board.

    Ed Sludden: VERY cool process! And the piece turned out totally great. I can't tell you how many times I've seen pictures in my wood flooring, or whatever, and had wanted to draw them into something...

    karlchristian: I like the Day of the Dead skull a lot, and the stark graphic quality to the piece is nice.

    andrewdrilon: Nice art, but the concept really sells it. Not anything we haven't seen before, but fine-tuned in a way that really makes it work. What I liked the best was that his lab coat would invert to black while BT's all fucked up. And the crossbones jutting out of his body (psychicly?) is particularly cool. Also, the Willy Wonka colorful world aspect could be really interesting. I picture this version like The Maxx, where Black Terror really is out fighting crime, just not in the way that he imagines (like he's spending half a day trying to fight a parked car in the real world, but is imagining it as some mighty beast...).

    Here's a quick submission outta my sketchbook. Sprinkled with a lil P-shop. I wish I had more time to devote to this one, but alas, this con week has eaten up much of my schedule.
    Lots of awesome REMAKES in this thread! YEAH!

    @all - this is a really great thread and thank you

    @Paul - thanks for deciding what I would be listening to tonight.

    @Ed Sludden: What a cool process.

    Again, with the enjoying things.

    And all the skull bandanas have inspired me. I think I'll make a bleached-on-black one. Not my style to wear, but it will make a neat gift.

    @andrewdrilon - Now THAT is a story I would read. And that's the whole essence of these threads. I'm liking yours best, so far.

    The Black Terror

    Kind of a blaxploitation thing. The Black Terror is the name given to the hulking monster destroying white supremacist groups in the deep south.

    karlchristian: I love the colour scheme and the concept. Reminds me of Nocturnals, but that's a compliment. :)

    ScottS: Love that ass-kicker!

    Rick Damn Lacy: Killer execution, as others have said. Love your use of colours and space.

    andrewdrilon: Trippy 'n' beautiful! Utterly bastard groovy.

    JCEFalconi: That one is creepy. Loves it!

    ScottS - love it! The 'eep' is a nice touch, and the profile on your black terror reminds me of some of Siku's stuff a little, which is no bad thing.

    Hey, nice thread! Here's my entry. I see 21's century Black Terror as being somewhere between MAN ON FIRE and CRANK...

    This character has so many Bad Ass interpretations :)
  7.  (4911.113)

    I see the character entering the real world as a meme when the trendmakers in the fashion industry decide to buck their vapid ideals and instead push social responsibility and focusing on personal responsibility. The character's symbol of the Jolly Roger becomes a badge worn by people adopting these ideals, co-opting its original meaning like the GLBT community did with the rainbow.

    Thanks for the kind words regarding my piece people. I'm just happy to be able to share my work with so many other talented people... even when some of those talented people make me feel very insecure :)

    @sebfowler - your drawing style is weird in a way I find very compelling. I remember your entries from the previous thread as well.

    @Paul Sizer - I knew we could count on you!

    @Ed Sludden - I've used the technique you describe before, but I've never come out with such a cool picture as a result!

    @karlchristian - great graphic design, great drawing! New to the board, maybe, but not new to this sort of thing... very nice.

    @Sobrerio - great painting, but I love the skull symbol you've made out of the letters B and T!

    @Pooka - Thanks!

    I know I've missed some, but I'm typing fast - lots of good entries pouring in as the week ends!

    Black Terror by Amanda Penrose

    I'm sorry, did someone say 'blaxploitation' like that's a BAD thing? I am unrepentant :-)
    Not a super original idea, but she sure was fun to draw. I tried to get a little of the original BT's yellow trim in there too.

    Awesome entries as always, everyone :-) I'm envious of all these super-dark images... I'm afraid I'm doomed to always drawing sweet pictures.

    In the interest of following someone's good idea from a previous thread: this is Photoshop from scratch using a small wacom, and it's approx 2000 x 3000 px in size.
