@nigredo - I think you're the only person I've encountered who's even heard of Puny Human! I love that album.
Today has mostly been all about Pure Rock Fury by Clutch. Because a bath goes better with burly bearded men from the southern states bellowing about weed and the Mississippi river, for some reason.
A.C. Newman's (New Pornographers) new solo album, Get Guilty to be followed by Gaslight Anthem - Sink Or Swin and She & Him - Volume I (Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward)
Darkstar - Need You/Squeeze My Lime (Can't get enough of this Hyperdub shit) Algernas Tradgaard - Framtiden Ar Ett Svavande Skep Extra Golden - Ok-Oyot System (god I love Afrobeat) Califone - Heron King Blues and again, I'm gonna plug my friend Paul's new record, Make Way for the Catastrophe, because it is fucking amazing - CHANG
@nigredo - Agreed. I happened to randomly stumble across it while staying with this crazy guy on tour who is the only person, other than you now, who has ever heard of this guy, at least in my neck of the woods.
@TC-Cork - I saw Busdriver a few years ago in Paris. He opened for Beans and Rob Sonic (? I thought this was so weird, Rob Sonic is a boner and Busdriver slays) but, nonetheless, Busdriver killed and had Mike Ladd not gone on after him and completely torn the roof down Busdriver would have been the hit of the show. That dude can rap, god damn.
I am listening to a compilation of 70s funk from Miami right now called "Miami Sound" searching for samples for some hip hop beats I am going to try to slap together later. Right now a song called "Funky Me" by Timmy Thomas is playing and it is pretty amazing, super crude drum machine playing a punk rock beat and funky, funky organ.
Also have been listening to Gifts from Enola lately, I really love super heavy instrumental music.
The F Word - Baby Bird Geraldine - Glasvegas Comforting Sounds - Mew Inhuman - Sonic Youth Brimstone In A Barren Land - Danielle Dax Jeepster - T Rex Back Together - Baby Bird
