    Ok, cheers. Must remember that typing something in the comments box is not much good without hitting the add button.

    ... and I got personal (or took things personal) in the AZ Fail thread. Tried not to, and I FAILed miserably. Sorry to all offended (or just annoyed).
  2.  (5.323)
    Not a problem. For the record, I was less worried about you than I was about reactions to you, which were becoming markedly less measured.

    In general: no harm, no foul, no-one lost it, but the energy of the thread was starting to whirlpool, so I killed it like the white god I am.

    @Warrenellis:

    Yeah, I'm sorry for contributing to that energy as well. Wasn't trying to make it spin-out.

    @Government Spy

    I honestly thought you were joshing. If you think you annoyed me, you didn't. I dig seeing your stuff on here, as you seem to have some different takes on "the issues", to sound utterly cliche.

    @Warren - I'm wondering about the feasiblity of starting a thread about the Israeli attack on the supply convoy.

    Thought I'd check with you first.
  3.  (5.326)
    I think that will end badly, quickly. Give it a shot, but I will have to keep an eye on it.
  4.  (5.327)
    Would it be okay to link to a bunch of comics I'm selling on eBay, either in their own thread or in the "Stuff around the net" thread?

    Where's the SPIT of July? I feel it wouldn't only be sort of weird, but also against THE RULES if anyone but Warren (or the lovely Ariana) starts one. Also you should try putting J├Ągermeister in your Red Bull, Warren. It makes the world a better place, promise.

    I think it can take the month off. I imagine everyone could use a break from seeing the same four faces on every page of every thread.

    Valid point. Perhaps people don't have to post every damn one of their 365 pics. But we still love it, you mean cuddly old joykill. Take me up on the Red Bull advice, I promise, it's a winner.

    I'm having a time out until I can learn some manners.
    What the fuck, Warren? Why the fuck would you close a perfectly civil discussion that was really helping me? Was anyone being an asshole? No, the only asshole here at the moment is you. Think about it for one damn second, actually engage your brain, and you'll see you're breaking your own rules. Do you have to keep up this pretence of being some sort of angry misanthrope just for your own personal satisfaction, or because you think people will be disapointed if you actually start acting like a nice guy? You tell people not to be assholes, and then set an example by behaving like one yourself. I was gaining a great deal of good advice and ideas from the collected experience of Whitechapel, and you just had to show that you're the boss, didn't you. For what reason? To what end? The worst thing about this forum here is you.

    @flecky - I think Jagermeister might be German for 'just really really amazingly catastrophically terrible idea'
    it's a very subtle language.

    @Dee
    -I think the love thread would've gotten no trouble if you put it up in Blogs. But Warren doesn't like mushy woo-woo stuff, and the topic of love does tend to bring out the crazies, or the mush-heads. Knowing that it's not really to warren's taste and throwing a fit when he doesn't want it in his 'interenet house' (as I tend to think of this place) doesn't do anyone anygood -- much less yourself. We're all more or less guests here. It's our duty to try and behave well. We all mess up now'n again-- but as decent human beings I think we deserve it to ourselves and to Warren and everyone else to try and act like decent human beings instead of snappish brute beasts even when things don't go our way. We are entitled to nothing here.

    @Rootfireember-I couldn't have put it any better myself..it's easy to "leak" your emotions on a website but when people say things that they wouldn't if in a persons presence its not cool. that's just my opinion..we are guests here.

    For a segue, a virology aphorism: "Love is fleeting, herpes is forever."

    And speaking of viruses: a couple of Whitechapeliers have asked me questions about viruses around here, and I've thought about starting a thread where folks can discuss the more exotic viruses out there, but I thought I'd clear it with the higher ups first.

    So, can I create it in Mad Science, or Elsewhere than Whitechapel?

    Mad Science.

    Cool rules, Warren, I approve!
