Mr. K Norton came good and the Kemper Norton Collective Season 1 cd arrived + some goodies (the sackcloth n ashes doll now has a prideful place on my office shelf). Some v. good music too, esp. from Kemper.
Also found myself in Brick Lane recently so dropped by Rough Trade records and picked up
Onra - Chinoiseries which is amazing - sampled vietnamese vinyl chopped and changed and patched back into something unique.
Also listening to Restaurant again, as featured on the 4 am - funny how the track that originally attracts falls by the wayside as others jostle for attention.

Li'l Lost Lou was a li'l disappointing (did a bunch of 'jokey' stuff instead of the darker songs) but a real find was 'Serious Sam Barrett', a be-quiffed alt.country/folk signer and amazing geeetar player. Bought his ep 'The Yorkshire Rambler' and altho his voice doesn't come across as well on the cd as it did live, its worth it for his arrangement of the traditional dity 'Rolling in my Sweet baby's Arms'. Check him out at: www.myspace.com/sambarrett
