Yeah, the sketch-lines of Edwin's work is half the beauty. The other half is comprised by the subjects. I'm as amazed at our inherent beauty--as I am the talent in bringing it out of all of us--that you folks possess.
Curse you, you talented lot! I have been trying to catch up on this thread since the internets returned to me (dear Virgin, never leave me/screw me over like that again. I will nail a puppy to your back door. Love, Halcyon) and every time I click to the next page, the page count increases and they're all filled with awesome art. Round of applause for everyone!
Also, I am surprised I have yet to be smote as my first reaction to the chibi Ellis (s? ii? plural, anyway) was to squeal "awwwwww!" It's only a matter of time. I think the waiting for the eels is the worst part.
Ah, and trade. Me not sure what that is doing on my head: And yawning (or having a stroke): (and that is a spoof of the famous Che shirt, but the spoof's joke is very national and therefore unfunny for anyone but latinos)
OK, this one kind of needs some explanation... @silentruth posted some great pics of her and a friend in a cool photo booth with the camera on the floor(?). I dug one of the shots muchly, feeling it had that detached/way cool Japanese manga vibe to it, the aloof pose, with the two characters in poses with all kinds of cool backstory being inferred. So that lead me to take her screen name (which, I confess, am not 100% sure if it's supposed to be Silent Truth, or Silent Ruth, but I've gone with the first in this case) and decided it was the name of a book, and the rest went from there. Also wanted to exercise my Type-Fu... So, a really long explanation for a simple, quick picture. simple coloring, loose, less detailed inking style and not filling up every last pixel with junk. 1 hour, start to finish.
Sorry, @silentruth, no chibi this time, but maybe if I have a second to do another... I had an idea about using your picture with the "fake smile" idea for something, maybe that... Hope you like this one.
After yet another fantastic drawing, I thought I'd present more material for the super artists here. A bit of a seasonal theme this time, as each was taken round a 'holiday'
