a friend and i are planning out another time-lapse bodypainting video/photoshoot project with multiple models within the next couple months. am also currently in the process of getting ready to move to vancouver by may to start a tattoo apprenticeship, and illustrating a set of tarot cards. (i started the deck about three years ago and so far have around ten either finished or nearly there. at this rate, i expect to have the full 78 done somewhere around the time my age hits the half-century mark.)

We've been keeping the new line under wraps because it's technically supposed to debut in Germany, but, man, it's really rockin my socks. Two prototypes are going out to a shooter on Monday. Think high-end future sexy. Think Rachael from Blade Runner at a fetish club. Think overt sexuality and effortless sophistication.

I am so geeking on my own work right now that I feel like a tool. :)

Evolving into a new career as the contract I am on is going to disappear in a month.

Also, once snow is off the ground here in the frigid Northeast, educate some friends on firearms safety and bring them one at a time to the range to learn to shoot.

Wrapping a long-gestating RPG (http://www.crafty-games.com/node/348), launching a new licensed one (http://www.crafty-games.com/node/719), and resurrecting another one after several years in development hell (http://www.crafty-games.com/node/347).

And, of course, keeping my head down to avoid economic shrapnel.

Planning my next graphic novel project, which will be a space-pirates yarn written by L. Neil Smith.

Script is completed, art production will be a collaboration with myself and a 3D artist (who goes by the moniker "-3-") who is building spaceships and architecture. The idea is to render the 3D stuff into panels and then I draw the characters and other "organic" stuff in and around it. I've never worked this way before; it should either be interesting or aggravating as all fuck.

actualy biting the bullet and putting my sewn stuff up for sale. still too shy to make a website for it or whatever, ebay will probably do just fine. I have enough stuff to be confident in making more before it all sells out but I'm still wanting a few more items. I sew wool pants and diapers with cool fun designs on them for people who cloth diaper their babies.

Really. I'm gonna do it. Come springtime. I'm gonna offer this stuff up for sale. risk rejection. Really. Gonna do it.

Moving, then moving <em>again</em>, then sitting down to the project of building a dedicated media center/torrent/NAS/home automation/surveillance box.

My technology will soon grow tentacles and roots into the property, growing stronger and wiser with each slice of silicon it absorbs.

That's roughly what the cover for the second issue of FlashINK--Singapore's first and only tattoo magazine, started by my sister-in-law, my brother and myself--is going to look like. We go to the printers on Monday and are spending the weekend doing some last minute tinkering here and there.

We're a bi-monthly mag. Every issue features interviews or profiles of mostly local artists, studios and collectors (though we do have a fair bit of international and regional coverage), as well as convention reports and, of course, tons of pictures of gorgeous tats.

The issue itself will go on sale in March and is available at some tattoo studios here, as well as through subscription here (.doc).

I'm working towards my first roller derby bout as a referee with the London Rollergirls, which will probably be at April's championship bout between feminists from the future, the Suffra Jets, versus relentless steampunks, the Steam Rollers. Then in July there's the inaugural European roller derby tournament happening in London, which is going to be called Roll Britannia. I'm pretty much definitely going to be involved in that - can't wait!

I've already been a lineup manager for the Steam Rollers for their crunch decider match at Clockwork Carnage, which was amazing fun even though I felt like I'd aged a decade in an hour thanks to stress. Trying to organise fierce and amazingly talented girls when they're in an adrenaline sports frenzy is hard work.

I'm continuing working on my punk rock end-of-the-world love story book and I want to try and practise some more music with my friend and look for a drummer.

I'm going to spec three TV scripts for various shows and try to get some film work in addition to my novels. A little scary, because I know I'm good at novel-writing but not sure about this TV thing. However, I think I suck less than the majority, and I do have the power of my agent and her film co-worker on my side. Sort of like the Force, with Blackberries.

@smibbo - have you considered etsy (or folksy if you're in the UK) for selling?

Plans for me involve: moving flat, writing some legal lib articles, pulling my finger out on the crafty/knitting public art drops, see also: setting up my goddamn etsy. Also getting a sewing machine so I can actually make more stuff instead of keeping it all in my head.

Go for it!I actually have a friend who went the cloth diaper route, and I'd be more than happy to send her your way once you get things going.

You guys are making me want to do a project. I feel so... pointless reading this thread. I'll come up with something and get back to you.

Following up Magnificent Creatures by taking the rest of my books online:

    Caffeine Deams
Once Upon a Time in the Dark
    On Becoming a Monster

That'll be a lot of work individualizing each site, coordinating the writers/artists and making sure that there is new content every week but I also need to find a day job to replace the one I got laid off from....

I'm putting together a chapbook of poetry, and drawing an inexplicable amount of peculiar birds, which I will likely turn into blank books. I'm also performing around the twin cities.

    Thing 1
    Like so.

Just launched a new comic experiment this week, where I offer the first twenty seven pages of a comic, and then let the readers start to determine who is who and what is what by building the rest of the story from their comments and ideas. I'm calling it Dogs. There are so far no actual dogs in it.

All Creative Commons and all done in ballpoint pen, and all right here, or alternately here as well.

I am starting the actual execution of a project for an exhibition dealing with gleaners and the different manifestations of that age old world practice.
