I do some hobby stuff since last year when I got my first digital camera. Many of the pics were taken in an abandoned ruin of house which turned out to be a private tuberculosis hospital (we found old hospital documents scattered all over in the attic, creepy stuff,my fav place to shoot photos tho).
One of the few good things about being on a cruise boat is that nobody reprimands you for taking pictures, or looks at you suspiciously.... and being on that boat with family means you can take photographs of children without being afraid of getting arrested.
Random favorite few faces:
- the little girl really reminds me of krakato(sp?) katie -
I can't remember if I've posted here or not, so forgive me if I'm repeating myself. I've been shooting for 10 years and exhibiting and selling prints for about the last 5. Most of my work is fetish, sometimes with heavy PS manipulation. You can see images here. Most are very NSFW.
Whispering, I really like your pictures. Rachel, I am not a big fan of photos of children, but yours are full of "win" as the kids say these days. Too bad the boy is lacking a bit sharpness around the eyes.
Ive been walking all over Philly lately, taking snapshots:
COOP, i think your portrait might need a fixing, as it doesnt show up, and just displays Flickr logo.
Recent graffiti sightings: this one is by Skullboy, a local artist. It was painted over, but I processed the hell out of the RAW photo to bring it back out...
I have been away too long! I'm missing all kinds of great stuff. We'll stick to the page at hand then...
@AngeliQ Nice! Especially fond of the color and light in that last one. Friended you on flick or DA I think...
@runkst Nice B&Ws. What and odd instrument that is though...
@Rachæl Nœl Love the DOF. I have such a hard time not randomly snapping photos of strange children, it is the weirdest feeling.
@Richicard Kadrey You horrible lazy bastard. At least grace us with something more than a text link. Give us one of your personal favorites, yeah?
@conjured The composition of the staircase shot is very nice. What are you shooting with now? I could probably point you in the direction of some post-processing tutorials to help make-up for the lack of equipment in the meantime [I have a low-end DSLR camera body and almost no lighting equipment so I fudge A LOT in post myself, plus I think photo manipulation is the fun part]
@Whispering OMG koala. So freaking cute. And then that poor butterfly. So sad.
@Munin Very nice. I especially like that first shot, though there's something about the crop I don't love, but I can't place my finger on it...
@PyD JEALOUS! And yeah it looks like you've got a lot of noise in that top shot, but the second is pretty good. I HATE shooting concerts, or any kind of events for that matter. It stressed me the fuck out, plus I miss everything.
@thespecterofreason Nice. I'd have shot the crap out of that wall just for the textures.
@COOP Awesome. I just learned to ride a few weeks ago, and I'm dying to get my own bike.
@photomagex I like the wood B&Ws, but I think I'd almost prefer them individually. Love that second one though.
@NumberIV Hilarious. I probably would have gone the extra length of taking it outside and propping it against a small tree or pole or some sort.
Okay, and finally, some updatery from me.
There's a whole mess of this lovely lady modeling some accesories by Atelier Choklit. This was my first attempt at doing all my own make-up and styling. Pretty happy with how it came out.
And some trees.
I've also been posting my collection of antique child portraits because they are amusing. You really have to read the descriptions on flickr or DA.
Everything is mirrored on deviantart as well, just in case you feel compelled to leave me some love.
