Beautiful arts as always, and beautifully written - this is a work about post-apocalyptic relationships (in large part) and they're now becoming more and more clearly delineated.
@ Indigo Rose - Good points, I rather agree with everything you wrote. I wonder what creative works in the near future will be inspired by Freakangels, just as Freakangels was inspired by 'The Midwich Cuckoos'.
John Wyndham > Warren Ellis > David Darkly
... hopefully
@ Flabyo - Zzap!
'I gotta go to the bathroom.' 'Baby...?' 'Shut up.'
I enjoy that the story becomes more difficult and more interesting and more possible and more alive when you commit to it for the long haul. That's how shit flies in my world, anyway.
I've made my picks for the order that everyone is going to die. Morbid, I know, but there never seems to be a story (or anything) I enjoy without the characters biting the bullet in any way, shape, or form.
I have to say I love the way this comic is going. and the waiting for Friday each week is a great anticipation-builder. I started reading FreakAngels when you were around issue 40 I believe; I found it by rummaging through Wikipedia and happened upon a list of comics that just started this year. I figured... well.. it can't be too long. So I sat here at work one day and read the entire 40 issues (or so) before the end of the business day and I've been HOOKED ever since. I love the way the colors are lovely hues of purple, grey, and white. Give the world a serene, after-apocalypse feeling. The characters are so real; so true-to-life. Every aspect of human emotion is exhibited.
