consistent torrential rain yet again...I saw a bloke down the street building an ark....

some advice: if you live on an island such as England, it's a good idea to learn how to swim...

Well, as marketing gimmicks go, getting the intarwub jesus to flood England so his new webcomic is a success - you have to admit that is pretty cool; and it means all those people who get flooded out can sue him, so everyone wins in the end, I think

Would monsoon induced floods count as "viral" marketing?

Some better advice: If you live in a flood plain and it's flooded 57 times in the last 3 years, move.

It's a BIG island with lots of hills after all.

The local paper in York is reporting that the Ouse has flooded.

The Ouse floods once every 2 weeks for the 8 years I've lived here. There becomes a point when it ceases to be news.

Mind you, its that or 'YORK'S UGLIEST DOG - PICTURES'.

If the island of England sinks you lot'd better keep out of the island of Scotland, there's not enough room!

    Them hills are mine! ;)
  5.  (518.14)
Not enough room in Scotland? There's virtually none of you buggers living there at all...

Well we're always hearing that the island's overflowing with people, and England's a mite larger than Scotland...

It seems to have stopped raining anyway...

Yeah, you buggers sent it all west over the Atlantic - the air in Savannah is one part water, one part paper mill stench, and one part cigarette smoke now. Thanks, guys.

Population of Greater London: c. 7,500,000
    Population of Scotland: c. 5,000,000

I think that means you can squeeze a few more in.

Damn statistics! They're never on my side.

I'll make arrangements to have my bags sent up when flooding starts.

I may live on a hill and just get the water on the way down, but the internet and electricity comes from downhill. When they go, expect a refugee. :D
