Been bad the last couple months about starting this thread, mostly because of stuff out in the really real world demanding their pound of my flesh, but I'm back now to get March going. Thanks to Photomagex for starting he February thread and PyD for getting January going.
Now I'll start us off with a quick sketch I did while drunk of Steven Grant's character, Whisper.
Also, I'm drawing supervillain couples between all my other projects as a personal challenge (was originally going to do 14 finished pieces throughout February, but got sidelined). So now I'm doing anywhere between 14 and 20 pieces that I'll post online whenever I get all the finished ones done. So until then, here's a sketchy version of Kraven the Hunter and Calypso. I dislike the way Kraven's background leg looks, but it's the most logical way I could think to have it. Also note how the piece looks like it was drawn by Joseph Michael Linsner... All the stuff of his we have up around the shop must be seeping into my brain (not that that's a bad thing, mind).
That's all for now. Now let's see what everyone else is working on!
Here's the latest Milo comic, the rest of which are up at the Milo Blog. For those that aren't following, Hank the balloon has been tied to a teddy bear, and Lou the cardinal has been a bit overzealous about helping to remove it. Hank is, understandably, phobic of sharp things. Milo's trying to step in a bit.
EDIT: (I've also put in a Milo Chat widget, so if you'd like to chat with a cloud, you can. He's got Hank typing for him though, so there may be a bit of sass to the responses today)
I went to my parents' home over the Christmas and found a really old box of even older drawings I did when I was younger and naive. I've been scanning 'em and posting 'em over at my sketchbook. Felt like sharing this one with you fine people. Hope you like it:
Was looking through old sketchbooks and files this afternoon, and ended up completely reworking a piece from a few years ago:
Re-inked the whole thing, kept the basic face and helmet, changed the hair, added the fur and the chain and the sword, rotated the composition, ditched all the colour fills, and added the red and orange colour holds. Sounds like a lot, but the whole thing didn't take more than an hour or so.
Just to add some class to the thread, how about an illustration I just did of a sick kid holding a jar of piss? Something I was working on a friend. For some booklets educating about various diseases/medical conditions, in this case dehydration (from diarrhea). See? It was a real thing. There was a brief. I don't just draw sick kids holding piss for fun. It was loads of fun though! There may be more on the way...
