I've got a new EP that I am putting out as a tour-only EP at this juncture so to get the hard copy of it you'll have to come to one of my shows on the East Coast. However, because you are all so special and show me pictures of gaping assholes and Godzilla Bukakke all the time here is the link for the download. Free of charge! The Burden and the Vine.
For anyone who got the last full length, this EP is a continuation on the more shoegaze-y, noisy psychedelic trajectory of songs like Henry Miller VS The Sea.
I hope you enjoy it.
Also if you happen to live on the East coast and want to nab a beer, talk about comics or summon elder gods to the mortal plane, holler at me.
Stygmata and I have been talking about a Boston Meetup as well sometime towards the end of the month. Bostonians? What say you?
Bostonian here, I don't spend enough time either on here or out in the world with other human beings. I am up for it.
Also: digging the EP, though it needs more than one listen to really sink in good. I must keep an eye out for Boston area shows of yours, if only so I can give money to another human being who understands the deep scars from Godzilla Bukakke. [can't believe bukakke wasn't already in this spell checker in my browser.]
Thank you guys for all the kind words! Glad you guys are digging it. Response has been pretty good so far out on the road as well so I am pretty happy about that. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the noisier parts to translate live since it's just me, might need to purchase some new gear (oh woe is me, ha!)
In regards to a West Coast tour there is a small PACNW tour in the works for May (MAYBE, I might need to take more of a break) but if not May then soon. After that I am planning on doing a more well planned, extensive tour for the next full length I put out. Maybe in the fall? Where are you guys located?
I just kicked my East Coast tour off a few days ago, spent time in Savannah and Charleston. Both beautiful cities. Now I'm in Durham, NC and headed northward. If anyone's in between Durham and Baltimore, MD (where I am playing with Caestles! FUCKING AWESOME! Praise be to Lord Master Ellis of all that is tingly and burns! He facilitates musical camaraderie! ) and wants to get a beer in the next couple days I will probably be stopping in DC and maybe darting out to Lancaster, PA for a moment.
NYC/Boston people: Let us make a meetup happen. Beer and stabbity jones!
@twitch_ramirez thanks! I have been pretty surprised at the reception of that song, it was just a little one off thing I did when I was feeling particularly salty about the state of American politics but people seem to be enjoying it.
In other news, I am playing at Piano's on the Lower East Side tonight and at the Lit Lounge on Tuesday. Any New Yorkers around?
My first foray into meeting a fellow Whitechapeler went particularly well. I stayed with Muad'Dib on Friday night and opened for his band, Caestles. They were bad ass as fuck. Hoping for more good luck like that.
