In my defense, your first post on MagCloud was immediately following a post about a dog getting sucked into a street sweeper.

    And I remembered that one.

Absolutely interested. Already partially agreed to doing it on orrot.org, but would love to poke around elsewhere as well.

    You have a website? Where?

This sounds like a hell of a lot of fun. I'm a photographer here; one thing a day, 5 days a week would be pretty easy for me to keep up with. Writer too, but for this I'd rather do photography. Any other schedule is good too.

Email me if you're interested. Don't have time right now to go back and e-mail all you fine people, but when I do tomorrow I'll hit a few of you up.

Orrot proceeds apace (or increases its pace, as the case may be). I just posted my second submission which will go live in about 19 hours. But there's a lot of good material up there already. Fritz_Bogott in particular has filled it with very interesting lies.

I'll add my name to this list as a writer. If you need me for anything you can contact me at the e-mail address audleystrange@googlemail.com

I'd love to write, but sadly this seems too far down the road ;)
Let me know if you need another writer, though. I've always wanted to experiment with an episodic style of writing.

I'd say orrot needs more writers, though it's not mine. Just finally posted to it again. No posts in a few weeks other than that.

I threw my hat in. www.forgefirepress.com launches 6/8. I am looking to fill 2 more slots, but I do have a few offers out there. :P

So far most of the contributors will be collections of short stories, but I have a novel and so does phee.

If youre doing a novel, I'd like at least another novelist on the site.

I've had one of those running for about a month and a half now. Every day is pretty radically different, but it's all pretty good.

Five by Five Hundred. I write the Mondays.

@munin218, if you're looking for more writers, I'd be happy to contribute to yours as well. I'm looking for as many outlets for writing that keep me on a schedule as I can find.

If anyone's still looking for contributors I'd be more than happy to knock out 500 words a week.

I've got a short story in mind, but if you'd like to check out my more article-based writing before deciding: my blog.

    We have a forum, too.

    Have a look!

I have come very late to this thread, so I won't try and sign up as a contributor... just to say, bang on, this looks like it could be exciting as hell... and very much where my own ideas about POD, RSS and short fiction are leading me... can't wait to see where you guys take this concept.

Just found this whole business via the new thread for writers. I've been having more and more ideas lately and would be super excited to explore this with other interested parties.

I'd like to create a site from scratch, but I don't have capacity to draw up a Web site without a template, and even then I have some trouble with stuff like Wordpress. But this whole venture from site to book seems fantastic to me.

I'd be more than happy to be part of a project like this as well.
I think what would be the most interesting to me as a reader and a writer would be that everything was set in the same world with the writers all fleshing out this world with individual stories, putting different perspectives and twists on the same basic concept. Of course, that implies that it would be a sci-fi or fantasy world, though you could also focus around specific historical or contemporary groups of people, etc.

I agree with what Oddbill said in March:
A shared world among closely aligned friends or associates, with a well structured ownership sharing contract - that might work. Not creative commons though.

EDIT: AH! I should say. I could write, but I could also do audio versions for a podcast, as I do have a good-quality mic and I consider myself tolerable as a provider of voice.
