Since my book publisher is the world's smallest, and I wrote and created the artwork for Stinky Squad. I figure this qualifies as Etsy...
I'm DC Green, gonzo Aussie children's novelist. My third children's book, Stinky Squad, is a satire/homage to all that is good and bad about the world of comic superheroes.
Oztrailer has mysteriously turned into a nation of brain-eating zombies targeted for nuclear destruction by President George Boof. The only hope is a collection of loser teens who have developed revolting superpowers: Stinky Squad!
Warning: this book has dangerous levels of horror, humour and ... urk... politics!
‘This is truly truly truly truly great!’ - Carol Roach, Storytime Tapestry.
‘Stinky Squad is the best Australian children’s book. Ever.’ - Derek Rielly, Stab magazine.
I'm trying to plug my girlfriend`s stuff here. She is still a bit prelaunch, but the products here are all available. Some of them are already up on her website (www.zafraniversum.com) the rest will follow by the end of february. Before that she will be putting everything up on DaWanda and Etsy in aprox two weeks. She is located in Switzerland.
The top two images are chokers, the lower left is a belt and the lower right a patch. The patch is the tricky one. You can iron those on your cloth for customization. They don`t bleach out and are washing machine proof.
All the stuff is hand- and homemade. If you like it, just drop her an email (evamschaeffner@yahoo.de).
I make handmade soap. My husband has environmental allergies, and we're both so picky about scent that we gave up and decided to shift for ourselves. I do the work and he takes the pictures; it's the only thing that's kept him from becoming another Etsy widow. heh.
Chocolate Truffle Soaps in Coffee, Chery Cordial, and Caramel. Actually have scented centers and chocolate shells.
Seacliff soap. I am especially proud to have managed a sea scent that:
1: Only uses essential oils. 2: Does not smell of urinal cake.
Blackcurrant with berry, leaf, juice, and blackcurrant tea. This was actually a request from a customer who used to drink blackcurrant tea at her grandparents' home in Russia before the fall. She's made her way to Australia by now and missed it something fierce.
Spiced Winter Pear soap is also very popular. Might be something to to with the fact that there's spices and a pear in it.
I focus on knitting mainly scarves. I like to use super soft threads and lots of textures.
I also do beaded jewelry. I preferred method is Peyote Stitch. These projects take longer and are more involved so they will happen every few weeks to a month.
Ok, after joining etsy last march, and then forgetting about it, and then quitting my job and having no source of income, I have set up an etsy page. It is here: JustAlexis I have screenprints, jewelry, and steampunk goggles. The goggles seem to be getting the most attention so far.
My wife sells handmade books, journals, folding photo albums, and other hand-bound papery things at her Etsy shop: RePaper.etsy.com (The URL up there works, but these are all links to her Etsy shop.)
She designs a lot of custom-made wedding guestbooks and journals made out of old Scrabble boards and tiles, lately, but she's bound portfolios and genealogies and the like for collectors, too. It seems to me that if it is made of paper, she can bind it somehow. She made me this travel journal for my trip to London earlier this year, assembled from an old tube map, with a tuck-pocket for a tube ticket, etc. I loaded it with maps to and of the museums I was visiting, plus printed emails with restaurant recommendations, and so forth:
I sell work through my own site, Rocket Assembly. Most Fridays I run a One Day Friday Payday Sale, with one painting listed at around 40% of its original price. I also do commissions, and you can see a larger body of my work on my Flickr. I swear I don't only paint cats.
