Avatar is setting up far and wide this year with cons and next next two months take us to the FX Show in Orlando, FL April 17-19, and to Motor City Comicon in Detriot, MI May 15-17. We've got some great guests for both shows, so we hope you can come by and see us.

FX Show guest list: Felipe Massafera (his first ever con), Gianluca Pagliarani (also his first, and just in time for the launch of Ignition City), Christos Gage, Mike Wolfer, and myself.

We have a special surprise for our HUGE booth at this show, actual props from Ignition City! You'll have to wait until opening day of the show for photos, but if you can make it, you won't be dissapointed!

Motor City: we hardly need other guests when we have Paul Duffield launching FA Vol 2! Mike Wolfer and myself will also be there.

Certainly don't want to miss the exclusive covers for these shows as well as other surprises as we kick 2009 convention season into gear! Please stop by and post on this thread to let us know who is going to be able to make it.

Any chance you guys will ever do a show in Nashville?

I'll be exhibiting at the MOTOR CITY CON for Saturday and Sunday only, so after you see a real artist like Duffield at the Avatar table, feel free to come over to my table and point and laugh! Or buy some of my books. Either way is good for me.

@Paul - cool, be nice to meet you.

@thekamisama - There just hasn't been a big enough show in Nashville for us to do. Hopefully someday.

Wish you'd be at TCAF. It looks to be the only con I'll be attending this spring/summer.
  4.  (5500.6)
@diello - Sorry, don't even know what TCAF stands for.

Toronto Comic Arts Festival. Don't know if it really counts as a convention, though.

I'm gonna be at FX, I'll be buying a shit ton of books too as since I've moved, I haven't been able to get my avatar fix. Can't wait to see you guys again.

@Ferburton - Excellent, it will be nice to see you again. Yeah, we are really going to put on a show at FX, you'll not be disappointed!

I might be able to make it to Motor City Comicon, but I'm not entirely sure yet. Also, seconding thekamisama's request for you to come to Nashville, despite the fact that you really can't right now.

    Thirding the Nashville plea.

Even though there's not really anywhere to go...
You could always set up a booth in my apartment.

@William Christensen - Will there be any drink& meets on any nights after the convention. Trying to decide whether I should go the whole weekend or just for a day or if I should plan on spending the night even cause I'll be getting drunk, though I'll probably get drunk regardless.

We don't have a WC drink-up scheduled at this point, however I'm sure the Avatar posse will indeed find a place to gather for drinks. Stop by the booth at catch me and I'll fill you in that day. Can't say that it is even possible to do a convention without getting drunk every night!

I don't think it is either, how else are you suppose to make it through?

    No Norway. :(

@Oda - Ha! hey, we'd love to come there at some point. If there are any convention organizers looking for some US publishers and talent for shows, please pass them my e-mail.

Are you guys going to Dragoncon this year (Memorial Day Weekend in Atlanta, GA)? It's the biggest con in the southeast, and I think 2nd only to Comicon in the country.

If you do, I'd love to buy you Avatar guys a drink. You're one of the few companies with any balls to do some genuine daring stuff. I buy almost all your stuff (eventually, now I wait for trades).
