@williac, i've seen him play four times now (twice as Subtle, once as 13 & God, and once as Themselves) and each time i become overwhelmed with the urge to lick him upside the head. so i've never been able to approach him and tell him how amazing he is. i've watched him interact with fans, though, and i am fascinated with his apparent fakeness (smiling and mugging for cameras and stuff) when it comes to prospective customers and how that opposed to the generally anti-consumerist nature of his lyrics.... i mean, sure, he's probably just friendly, but i always imagined him to have a much stronger/more volatile off-stage persona, too.
but i've spent too much time thinking about this.

@Jeff Zero, thanks for the track! listening now.

@Jeff Zero You have an Ergs! tattoo? That rocks. I've seen them twice in concert and they were freaking fantastic both times.

The Ocarina of Rhyme playlist on 8track is rather rocking. I've been listening to it.

Ultra nerdy and not by me, but it's on 8track... okay I'ma hide now.

@allana My one experience was a little different. It was a dead night and we're like 1 degree of separation, so no photos, etc. Plus, I'd already bought the shirt.

    Swirlies - Wrong Tube
    Wire - Three Girl Rhumba
    dEUS - Sun Ra

lo-fi sci-fi low life love life

    Urusei Yatsura - Louche 33
    McLusky - Gareth Brown Says
Gorky's Zygotic Mynci - Neud Gwallt Eu Gilydd [Girls Doing Each Other's Hair]
Man Or Astro-man? - Television Man
    Izabo - Kisses
Evil Superstars - Satan is in my ass
    The Ponys - Virus Human

i don't like the interface. i want to be able to see the tracks before playing them.
You clearly didn't grow up passing unmarked mixtapes that had been recorded over and had the labels scratched out umpty-odd times. It's like a singing pinata!*

*Without the hitting. Which I guess doesn't make it like a pinata at all. More like a Kinder Egg. Although I guess you crack those open, too. You know, I guess there's no violence involved at all. Now I see your point. I guess I would like the interface better if there were something to smack.

@EvilSuperstar, I love the "lo-fi sci-fi..." mix, it is tres gut.

@AlexGBYMR, thanks! I basically took 16 tracks and split them into two sets. The names are taken from the lyrics of the first song in each. Hopefully I will introduce listeners to at least one new band.

David Porter from 8tracks here. Thx for all the great mixes guys. (And Warren thx for the props - we pre-dated Muxtape but do appreciate the comparison)

@Allana We don't show playlist upfront in order to comply with US webcasting rules (which are worth following, as don't need to negotiate with labels and can avoid legal troubles of folks like Muxtape). More here fyi: 8tracks.com/legal

@Radian You can edit tracks. Just click the lil 'edit' link next to the tracks on Your Tracks section on 8tracks.com/selection.

Feedback & suggestions always welcome (dp@8tracks.com).
