I just threw one together, I've had most of these songs stuck in my head the last week or so, hopefully this will exorcise them. You can listen to it here
The Type O Negative track that's on there isn't the one I intended, but apparently 8tracks doesn't like 11 minute songs at 320kbps. But it's just as good.
Hunchback- Black Sunday Saw/heard these guys for the first time at the last Ergs! show. Sadly, it was their last show as well. Some straight-up punk rock, and a great live performance.
The Alter Boys- Famine Ghost A side project of several bands, featuring members of Dog Fashion Disco, Nothingface, and Unified Culture. One of my favorite songs ever, if my last.fm profile is to be believed.
The Queers- You Make Me Wanna Puke I was supposed to see The Queers tomorrow, but I've got a funeral to go to. Damn those obligations, eh? Catch them on this tour if you get the chance. It's a really 'New England' line-up right now, featuring Geoff Useless from The Guts (Portsmouth, NH) and Adam Leftover from The Leftovers (Portland, ME). Being from NH, I've seen this band several times, and they never disappoint.
The Soviettes- Blue Stars Just recently discovered this band while co-hosting a radio show with a buddy of mine. Unfortunately disbanded, but every single song is catchy as hell. Not sure where in the punk spectrum to categorize this.
ALL- World's On Heroin The Descendents minus Milo's vocals. They've gone through a few different singers over time, but it's all pretty good. If you dig this singer, or ALL in general, check out Drag The River. It's a country group of punk rock veterans, but with no attempts to make anything but good, solid country.
Toys That Kill- We Control The Sun If you like this song, I urge you to go out and buy the album of the same name. Easily one of the best punk rock records I've ever heard. I'd also suggest looking up the myriad bands the members of TTK have been involved in (F.Y.P., The Underground Railroad To Candyland, and plenty more)
Billy Bragg- A New England It's... well, it's Billy fucking Bragg.
Daiquiri- Life Ruiner II Free download from an album that will probably never be released. Canadian electro-punk. Daiquiri have played with Tub Ring, Dog Fashion Disco, Mindless Self Indulgence, and Screaming Mechanical Brain, and also tour frequently with America's Funnyman, Neil Hamburger.
Songs That Make Me Cry. Pretty self-explanatory. But I have a tendency to cry at a lot of songs. Most of them are sung by Amanda Palmer, but 8tracks doesn't let you put whole albums on there.
