    Little loveletter to the Swiss
(The humorously phonetic title referring to the slogan of a classic TV ad for Swiss' "Spice'n'Sugar" Cough Drops)

From the 80ies to now, innovative acts, lots of Metal and dark'n'noisy stuff with loud guitars, but even some Industrial and Post-Rock in the end. To be continued ...

Mix that also could be called those were the days. The descripiton says it all. The Cult really was a special place.
This will be part one of a whole series with songs from the club's playlist over the years. Basicly just a bunch of tracks thrown together, from Indie- and Alternative Rock, over Nu Metal and Hardcore, to Electronica, Big Beat and Not-so-Mainstream-Hip Hop. (Yeah, all those genres were played at one night in the Cult back then. As I said: That place was special)

Got a new playlist of nerdy music. Good nerdy music.

You already know what the last track is, I guarantee.

This is an old mix of mine from back in April. I really need to make a new one, if I can ever get to access my external hard drive.

    Long Songs
The title says it. I once realized, that some of my favourite songs are those running pretty long. So here's a collection of it. With the shortest one (yet one of the most epic) clocking in at 7:31 and some tracks quite over 10 minutes. Genres included: Progressive Metal, Sludgecore/Stoner- & Post-Metal, Noiserock, Mathcore, Alternative, Industrial Metal, Black Metal ...
(The picture refers to one of the song titles)

19 tracks including Bands like Killing Joke, Neurosis, Voivod, Mastodon, Ministry, Opeth ...

@icelandbob: One of my very favourite bands, obviously. Actually digged my way into some their side projects this year for this first time ... and there are some of it, like Steve von Till putting out different stuff under three different names, a Scott Kelly-leaded offshoot called Blood & Time and others ... most of it really being very good stuff or at least that experimental and unusal, that it's really interesting.
btw: Have been to Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands this year. Where Neurosis played PLUS a Tribes of Neurot performance PLUS solo performances by Kelly and von Till ... felt like Heaven and Hell merged together.

if you yell at it long enough it lets you do it the old-fashioned way.

the winter mix oh-nine: a gradual rise (like pushing a boulder up a hill).

TAKE FIREFOX OFF THE EEE. NOW. Feature-creep means the Eee is now too underpowered to successfully power Firefox. Get it off there, entirely, and replace it with Chrome.
