Including: Sheep On Drugs, A Tribe Called Quest, Amon Tobin, Eels and four others. One of them may be Nick Cave. Another may be a group who I don't really know, but they got Brian Molko to sing & I was 18 when it was released. So there.
The Reapers are the Angels - Inspired by Alden Bell's excellent novel of the same name. It's a lot like if Faulkner wrote a zombie novel, so there's a definite southern-gothic sort of hopelessness here. This mix didn't even need a lot of considering, these are just the songs I wished were playing whenever I read that book. There are a surprising amount of spooky southern/country sort of songs that are at least tangentially about the undead, which helped.
I really wanted to put GYBE!'s "Dead Flag Blues" at the end of this mix, but the track is too long for 8tracks and I'm too tired to edit it down to the specific movements I want. Maybe some other time.
