    I made a thing...

Indie Rock: Then and Now(For values of THEN equal to two years ago)

Also, I made this aeons ago, it's my most listened 2009 mix tape, from the most recent exchange. I meant to post it ages ago, but had such a hard time getting it to upload I completely fucking forgot.

ferallon Presents: '09 Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter or Arse eels for everybody!

    Enjoy or not, as suits.

Starting to prepare for my bi-annual cross-country trip between school and home. This'll probably be the last time I make this particular trip, and thought I'd commemorate it with a mix of songs that've always enhanced the driving experience for me. Others may find it has a similar effect.

@reosarevok - Postapocalyptic (the 8tracks account) is a Whitechapel community project. Bob just spearheaded the last thread (not to detract from his awesomeness, of course). The informational thread for the second push is here, and the first thread is here, and was started by oldhat/robin, which she based on her own thread from the days of muxtape.

I wish that site still worked. But we have 8tracks in its place, and that's good enough for me.

Alright, so...although things got in the way in the past little while, a bit of a dream is to apply to host my own radio show on community radio. Part of the application process is to put out a playlist of your choice of music. Because it's been a while since I've put together tracks that are different but can centralize around a particular theme and that I'm just not confident in my musical choices, I've put a challenge to myself. One 8tracks mix every day for a week. This is to get me to sharpen up my mix-making as well as learning what could work.

Anyways, Day 1 is up now, titled Bang That Drum. Hope you enjoy.

Robin, I KNOW you can do it. And that Bang the drum mix is sounding great!

since Reosarevok and Rickiep00h were talking about the old Whitechapel post-apocalyptic mixes, i realised that it has been ages since a mix was made! So today i did some tinkering and, in honour of our earth god Eyafjallajökull erupting, i came up with the following...

The Earth Awoke and Damned us all...

A nice driving mix for when you have to travel through the ash cloud from hell......

Oh and it also has tracks from fellow whitechapelers Texture and lx in it as well.

Finding so many neat things here. Made my own 8tracks mix -

    Nashville Rock & Country

It's not Top 40, but 4 local Nashville/Mid-TN area bands.

    Bands:
The Creeping Cruds - I usually describe them as 'punk rock horror'
Creech Holler - southern gothic rock
JEFF the Brotherhood - pop grunge rock
Justin Townes Earle - old style country
