    Hello Sillypunk!

My god there were lots of people, I think I saw you there, did you see me?

I got lots signed but didn't say much, like, to anyone.

If Mr Duffield wants to know who kept smiling and nodding at him during the webcomics panel, it might have been me. I had a blue jacket and a black backpack on and stood at the back near someone who is probably on here but I didn't talk to. She was wearing a black t-shirt with the logo stencilled on - one of the cosplayers methinks.

I bought lots too, about as much moneywise as the travel cost. There goes the summer!

I took phone pictures, but not of anything interesting. Sky TV were there, anyone see if they broadcast the footage?

Thanks to 'Phonogram' artist Jamie McKelvie for signing their first book for me, and for being there so I could buy it from him. Thanks for being kind when I probably looked like a rabbit in headlights - too many anime/manga cosplayers in one place for me!

Phew! I'd do it again though, just not too soon.

I was greatly amused to find Tony Curtis in the same room as Warren Ellis. Also amused to find Ellis replaced by a thoroughly lovely and generally non-stabby Southern English gentleman. I hope the picture I took of the Godzilla Bukkake bloke from Bath ahead of me in the queue and Warren came out ok.

The non-Ellis highlight for me was Nick Abadzis doing a lovely sketch and dedication in my newly purchased copy of Laika. The worst bit for me was feeling like an inadvertent comics stalker by apparently continually bumping into people who may (or may not) have been Marc Ellerby, Marc Ellerby's girlfriend (the perils of reading other people's autobiographical minicomics) and Emma Veicelli (who's Much Ado manga I picked up and can't wait to read). Also, not feeling flush enough to pick up some of McKelvie's pages from Phonogram 2.0 - damn you, sensible spending limits.

Had a quick peek into the pub opposite before leaving but didn't see anyone conspicuous.

@Greg SBB! Second photograph down, the chap with the green strap across his shoulder is me - looking incredibly fat.

Wandering around the Expo for an hour or two makes me realise at least one reason why the esteemed Mr. Ellis doesn't go to many of these things.

Warren Ellis: complete signing session gent.
Forward 9 hrs. warren advocating liver damage. I am fighting the booze sickness.

Stoto: Complete nervous wreck meeting warren.
Forward 9hrs. Drunk and calling Warren a bastard.

If the angel of Benfleet is really looking over us, thank you for waking us before we ended up asleep in a train shed in Shoebury. If only more women approached drunk, sleeping men on trains.

"I used to just write comics about my penis." Marc Ellerby on web comics panel. Perfectly judged comments as ever Marc.

Aww, I'm so jealous of you guys. I got lit up in Camden with my girlfriend's family, but my heart was with the cosplayers harassing Ellis and groping McKelvie.

Managed to cobble together a vague KK outfit

Should have probably had more sleep Friday night before attempting these photos, greatly pleased with my signed copy of FA vol.1 though!

Also have a photo with UrbanAngel which I'll put up as soon as my friend sends me the photos.
@FilmFan- hello again. Must have been me! I didn't dare sit down at the talk because I thought it unlikely to find the strength to get back up again.
Last thing, why does KK have tubing? I was getting quite a few unimaginative ideas from vendors, I hope they're not right...

Just got home from the con, I had a great time. I'm currently drowning in comics and merchandise that me and my girlfriend Kate bought :D
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to get something signed or have a chat, and thanks especially to the cosplayers! ^_^ steaming badger, you looked fantastic, as did Urban Angel and there was a great Miki cosplay around as well as the Jack I met before the panel. I'd love it if you guys could post more pictures up!

Re: the tubing, my secret little idea was that it's a liquid cooling system that KK built for her corset. Occasionally you see a glimpse of a fan unit at the back of the corset into which the tubing goes, via which the water runs through the pinstripes in order to carry heat away from the body :D

EDIT: I just noticed one of the photos gets Al Davison and Warren in the same shot!

That was a great day, thanks for turning up Warren.
I have to say I thought it was so funny when you arrived at the table, took off your jacket, then put out a large bottle of Oban, what I think was an Ipod dock and got your can or Red Bull ready.
We were sitting on the floor after having a quick beer and a spliff in the lovely summer weather, not expecting you to be there till 2ish, so you turned round and said:

"Right come on get up you lazy bastards, lets fucking get this over with!"

I was laughing about that all day. Legend.

Hope everyone had a great day, I certainly did.
