This may be the best western animation I have seen in a long time. It takes me back to watching Ghost in the Shell for the first time and the original Command and Conquer. I shall now go and make everyone watch it.
I literally grewup on G.I. Joe. When I was a little kid, I hoped that it would still be around when I was an adult so that I could spend all of my own money (once I started making it) to buy as many G.I. Joes as I wanted (instead of begging parents). With the movie coming out, I had mixed feelings, just like with Transformers. This, however, is something else entirely. You've completed the circle between my childhood and adulthood. When do they pick this up for an entire season, and how much do they pay you to write it?
Anyway, thanks Warren. Your talent is much appreciated. Doktor Sleepless, Freakangels, and now this. It may sound corny, but you are an inspiration.
I love this thing. This is how I wish GIJOE had been back in the day. No instantchutes or constant missing. Just guns and lots and lots of dead people.
Never seen a GI Joe cartoon, comic or action figure before. But these are a lot of fun. Snake-Eyes is great. I also really like the whole scene with Cobra Commander.
When episode two ended without the bad ninja suddenly hitting the good ninja on the head and rendering him unconscious, I felt oddly confused. I mean, you're British. You can't let a man just go blowing up an island for five minutes and not get hit on the head and rendered unconscious afterward. The director must have deviated from your script.
