Storm Shadow constantly changing sides was a bit annoying in the comics. Going from cobra, to Joe, to rogue, back to cobra... it all got a bit tiring after a while.
Just watched the whole thing start to finish. Speaking as someone who was never a big fan of the cartoon when it first came out... Sweet nipples of Christ that was good!
It was fantastic from beginning to end. Kudos to all, and especially to Mr. Ellis who took something I couldn't give a fuck about and added balls, spunk, and apparently dick.
i gotta say that I loved Cobra Commander. When I was a kid, I hated his cowardly moments. i thought he should have been so much more bad ass...now he is badass again...woot... so..any news on if the Resolute project is going to continue with another writer/new story (like the Tomb Raider thing that was done a while back), or is this it?
I'm not sure if I would recognize it as Warren's work if I watched it out of context, but I certainly would be surprised. (perhaps more if I actually knew the GI Joe stuff before.)
I was under the impression that the code names were akin to rank or position. You're the 5th guy to be name "Tankfucker" or what have you, when you die, we just find another.
It was a fun bit of action fun. Beautiful animation too.
It aired on TV in Canada this past Friday night, and in the US this past Saturday night, don't know if anyone's planning repeat airings and no word on a DVD as yet.
I just saw a new trailer for the GI Joe liveaction (Also includes MGK commentary).
Warren I will give you one hundred of the Earth dollars to travel back in time and write a decent script for this movie. Because there are times when a childhood memory, beloved or otherwise, must be violated. But said memories should be violated with style.
This trailer doesn't make 'em scream. It barely even makes them whimper.
