   Odin does seem the obvious choice for an eye-based detective superpower, indeed, but frequent's is still far different than my doodle (and rocks out too, as is frequent's wont).

    I have an old Golden Age of Comics book that has a cover of The Eye (Keen Detective Funnies). It's shooting some kind of fire on fleeing criminals. One chap is shooting it with a tommy-gun. The Eye's "only accessory was lashes and what may or may not have been an eyebrow."
