    I don't think that a similar thread exists, so wanted to post about dressing up or cosplaying as a Freakangel character. As you've all seen by now, Warren and Paul will both be attending London Expo in May 2009.

    I've decided to go as KK provided that the costume works out!

    Will anyone else be dressing up as a Freakangel character? Perhaps we could meet and do a photoshoot!

    If the admins think that this idea sux then please feel free to delete the thread. I am also going to post a blog of how the costume-making is going so will link to that at some point.

    Otherwise, perhaps other Whitechapelers can meet up at the Expo?

    I'm not going (i live across the pond there), but I really look forward to seeing the cosplay! i'd love to do Arkady, but i can't get myself to shave my head. :<

    I'm going to tussle my hair, dye it blonde, take off my clothes, and go as the boy from Lambeth Road.

    I'm gonna go as one of the bad guys! Which means I'll starve up, catch lice and cholera, get shot and have my skull crushed, and be dumped on the doorstep with an appropriate message of warning tied around my neck.

    I'm attending Comin Con in San Diego this year, and seeing as my hair will be purple i'm thinking about dressing up as Sirrka.

    Some kids are thinkin' about doing some "steampunk" gatherings. Could be interesting what kind of effort they'll put into cosplaying.

    Its only for a day, so I won't feel too much like a nerd. :P

    There are already Steampunk gatherings here in London so if you're interested, just google those as keywords and you can see what they wear. Looks cool, especially a couple called Darren (demondaz) and Audrey.

    So far I have finished making the pipe attachments for the corset, half-made the skirt and am working on the jacket - the sleeves are finished off but I need to shorten the jacket, tailor it so it's not so huge, and paint the logo on. I haven't made the bra yet or worked on the boots - shall do those 2 last.

    Hehehe, well, I won't look too much like her if I do. My hair's not long enough, I am missing a pipe to stick to my corset, and I am chubby. I don't look like I've suffered an apocalyptic wipe-out very much at all ;)
    But we'll see. I will be going there mainly to see my friend Ross Campbell at the OniPress booth.

    Turns out I won't be able to do it. I've lost some vital parts (my FA stencil broke and there's no time to make a new one, and I used to have tubes from an old vacuum cleaner, but it turned out my mom wanted that back). I shall definitely cosplay as her at a bigger and better con, though.

    And will most likely be hanging out with a guy who looks similar to that guy (only shorter).
    I will be dressed in brown and white, possibly with a white parasol if it's not too much of a hassle to carry. I'll have a grey Cowboy Bebop messenger bag around my shoulder.

    And I will have a FreakAngels temporary tattoo on my left arm.

    Im gonna propably be going to the London Expo as Jack.
    I've got most things on my checklist apart from the purple lenses and a string vest/tank top.
    Also the tattoo needs figuring out...

    I even have a panatella cigar lined up to use as a prop.

    I bought my purple lenses from www.contactlenses.co.uk and bought the ones that were 6 pounds each. They're not very purple but they are prescription which is important for me. If you just need coloured ones, try Four Lenses.. they sell them for 15 pounds.

    Interesting. I may well get a pair of those ones...

    The only thing is i’m a bit wary on buying stuff, especially things you put ON your eyes, over the internet. Horror stories and all.

    I’ve spotted a few over on mainstream lens sellers (spec savers, etc) but they require a course of 6 months (pair per month). Ill have a shop around either way. Thanks!
