    Freakin sweet start to May!

@chrisg - the R/R truly missed out with your kick ass detective

@howyadoin - I saw the initial sketch and am really glad I saw the end piece. Hot Hot Hot!

@robschamberger - Loving the gun lady side profile and the lady in the black dress. Great colour.

@gerimi - kick ass girl in the background is a winner :)

@oftandiscord - Do you watch Silar in Heroes? Very precise my friend. Awesome.

@ gerimi - it was a personal thing, building up a portfolio and pretending to be a 'designer' - http://8buffalo.blogspot.com/

@Suggymoto - my wife watched Heros, i never have! who's Silar?

@ offtandiscord - Silar is the main bad guy who has a serious attraction to clocks :) Sorry if this sounds like I'm comparing you to a maniac. It just popped into my head. Still love your work.

@ offtandiscord: Keep up the good work. Let me tell ya… I have gotten more design jobs by creating something that I thought looked cool & telling the interviewer that it was a "concept piece" for a client, but didn't go into production.

@ Suggymoto: Thanks a lot… it was a throwaway gag to keep a talking head sequence from being boring, but I'm just happy that someone finds it entertaining.

I also was too late for last week's Remake/Remodel, so here it goes, for those of you in need of cheesy biomedical suspense, nanotechnology and far-fetched anagrams.

    Detective Eye
You'll find a slightly bigger version here. Dr. Barrister is lousely based on Whitechapel user Sebfowler, to stay in touch with the spirit of the "Draw each other" thread.
As I was looking through the web for a link to the original version of the Detective Eye, I came across this other remake by DeviantArt user DBed; I like the remake.

Well, despite my best intentions and prideful boasting, I did not have the time while in New York to drop in anything for the "Detective Eye" REMAKE/REMODEL thread. Too busy herding graphic design students around the city, making sure they didn't fall into open manhole covers and the like.

Finally, during a rainy Sunday in a coffee shop on Bleeker, I managed to pull out the sketchbook and just draw. From whatever the hell was around me and whatever was in my brain. Here's the results:

@ Miranda - Holy shit, I was just thinking, "Hey, that looks like me"! Love your work! You have been my hero since the Mexican-wresting-conjoined-twin thing a while back. I missed the remake too, but I'll try to get something else up here soon.
